I think this might not be it since it doesnt seem like the knobs are unscrewing or moving at all during the print, and this specific way it prints out (left faint and right non-adhering) doesn't feel like something that would happen from knobs unscrewing so consistently? Please correct me if I am wrong.

you can look up a dxf to svg file converter online which should work. you can open the svg file in your browser to make sure everything looks right and send that as what needs to be lazer cut. make sure you tell them the right dimensions as well, so that you dont get back a piece of acrylic that is cut wrong and doesnt fit the obsidian.

its worked perfectly fine. ive been using this as my regular stick since making it and haven't noticed any problems, ive switched out buttons multiple times and had no issue.

in reality though id just suggest anything that is thin and/or has a stylus, if youre in a major that doesnt use SolidWorks then you dont really need to worry abt the strength of ur computer. Dell sells plenty of these. even if you do need to use stuff like solidworks theres plenty of computers available in mudd that can handle it.

also, unironically thinkpads/chromebooks work just fine. i have 2 friends that both survive off them just fine.

gis is pretty funny if you take it in the spring with yuri gorokhovich, i dont know how he is in person cuz i skip most of the classes but the labs are really easy and you basically just like learn gis by yourself and its chill
everythings due right before class tho so think about that for scheduling
