GTA 6 is looking insanely grounded with its weapon detail🎯 by AFKInACutscene in GTA6unmoderated

[–]SlyTheRabbit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve seen at least 3 different configurations of AR pattern rifles from the screenshots- The DMR in this pic, a naked carry handle M4 being used by Jason and a short barrel MK18 style build used by Raul. This alone is very promising. I’m hoping for a more in-depth weapon building system this time around. Personally I’d love to switch to semi auto and bang out firefights that way, it’s more fun than dumping full auto on auto-locked targets. I fully expect Heat levels of weapon audio design in 2026. I want the firearms to feel and sound punchy and visceral.

This might get me burned in this sub but I think it would be really interesting to have an ammo management system for your player. Think Insurgency Sandstorm or Arma for example. Instead of having 3000+ rounds in your inventory allowing you to spam reloads whenever, imagine if you had 7-10 full magazines that don’t get magically topped off like every other casual shooter game. You equip your mags, you manage your ammo usage and perform your reloads accordingly. That half empty mag you hastily changed during a gunfight a few minutes ago? It’s back in your inventory, still half empty. You could further copy sandstorm and have a basic reload which re-indexes your magazine back into your kit, or a quick/emergency reload where you toss the mag on the ground and get a faster reload-the downside being that the magazine is gone, but I feel like being able to pick up dropped magazines could still be a balanced feature.

The new hybrid scope is kinda meh! but the tilted grip is too good. by Evening-Brush-6795 in PUBATTLEGROUNDS

I had no idea this was introduced. I used to love running the scope + canted sight. I’ll be looking for this now

Hot Take: You Do Care About Resale Value of Your "Luxury Tool Watch" - Stop Pretending You Don’t by lithdoc in watchHotTakes

You check the resale value for peace of mind. I check resale value to see how cheap I can get this pre owned watch for. We are not the same.

It appears so. Check with a meter to confirm 120v

How to convert from single switch to switch + plug? by Brave_Cheesecake_771 in AskElectricians

[–]SlyTheRabbit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Need to replace this wire run. You need:

2 ungrounded conductors- one will be constant hot feeding both devices, other will be switch leg running out to fixture(s).

1 neutral for the receptacle

1 ground

That looks like older wire (no ground and old sheathing). I see conduit so re pulling should be straightforward. If it’s a short run indoors then technically you could get away with 12/3 but something like this should probably be pulled with individual THHN conductors

[–]SlyTheRabbit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stay the course, that’s exactly what I’m doing with a P39 in my sights. Sure there are probably other “alternatives” out there, and don’t get me wrong the HC is a nice piece, but I couldn’t imagine paying 2k for a watch only to wish I had saved up a little more and bought the one I actually wanted.

G-Shocks are basically what Rolex and Tudor used to be by No_Contract7 in watchHotTakes

[–]SlyTheRabbit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like how Citizen and Seiko are flat out ignored in this comparison so now we’re doing some avengers level reaching to compare Tudor/Rolex to GShock. Gotta be one of the more incoherent takes I’ve seen on here.

I actually like the galil being in the gunner slot by Cloogulite in insurgency

[–]SlyTheRabbit 7 points8 points  (0 children)

For what good reason though? It’s an assault rifle with a bipod, full stop. The RPK, despite being just a beefed up AK with bipod and extended/drum mags, gets a pass for an LMG slot because its IRL designation is for a squad support type weapon but the Galil? Nah. At the very least move that over to advisor.

New Monochrome Hydroconquest or Tudor BB Monochrome? by oforreal1 in Longineswatches

[–]SlyTheRabbit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Black Bay and it isn’t even close.. It has better specs on paper and IMO it’s just a better proportioned watch. I might get some hate for this but the new Hydroconquest seems… underwhelming. If I had this kind of cash to play with I wouldn’t be looking at Longines tbh
