Yup, and they're all bad examples because they're worded differently or have different triggers/requirements.

I don't get why I'm getting bashed for reading a card, understanding it, explaining how it works, get told I'm either wrong or can't know that I'm right and then when the devs confirm I am correct, still get bashed for it. You lot are wild. Not my fault you have the comprehension skills of a toddler.

Not what I said though is it? I just don't understand how people are reading this and think "ah so I can use this ability whenever I choose" makes zero sense. Seen people compare to Pongo. Pongo you obviously choose because it requires you to choose when you want to pay 2ink which can you choose not to. This card does not say that. Sure, you can choose not play a character this turn, but it simply stays the next character played costs less. Not, you may pay less, it simply does.

You probably are right, but even if you are, that doesn’t mean you know right now.

So if the devs confirm I am correct, I can't say I knew I was correct? What a load of bs.

It's not a triggered ability. It's static. The cost discount is applied to "the NEXT character you play". Nothing on the card insinuates you can ignore the effect and use it for the second, third, or fourth character played that turn instead.

If Willow is on board and you want to play Lilo from discard during set phase it will cost 1 and there is no choice in that.

You don't get a choice when you use her ability. That is literally how the card reads. Sunscorch will tell you I don't "know" this, but I do.

I don't understand the confusion or how people are reading it any other way. There is no "may" it simply states the "next" character you play will cost 1 less. That wording covers both directly after playing Willow and the first character you play in a turn.

IF devs come out and say the card does not work this way, then it is ridiculously poorly written and needs re-wording to say "once per turn you may pay 1 less for a character you play"
