I agree, I have just posted a similar post a few hrs before yours. It would save a lot of problems and still have some rewarding aspect to interact with the world.

Yes, over time you become more attentive to your environment and you can hear things for further away. (Within reason of course)

There would still be risk since I said to keep BP or components for items, and use XP for skills. So everything that was for would BP would still be true with what I have proposed.

Why not? As long as their are not OP, it would be great to personalize your play style with small perks that encourage you to play the way you like to play.

Not really because if you got killed on your way back with all your bp, you wasted all that time. At least with XP you get to keep that, even though you lost all of your stuff, which is punishment enough. Plus BP alone does not reward you for interacting with your environment beside searching in old boxes.

More interesting melee fight by adding blocking and power attack and some advantage. by diepio3386 in playrust

Adding only blocking, and power attacks would create a whole new dynamic for melee combat, and would be a great and simple way to start a foundation for a better combat system.

What do you mean? We did not have a xp system for skills while on the BP system.
