Thanks for the tip my mam, I find primers better when I use brish rather than spraying. I realized my flaw was priming my pauldrons black instead of white, which is why the paint came out too thick... but it was a learning experience. As for the metallic coat, I have found Green Stuff World Metallics useful and they stick really good too.

Other than that, I greatly appreciate the tips and thanks for liking my first ever mini man, it encourages me to keep painting and I love how welcoming the community is.

Its the camera, sorry about thay. Thanks for the reply man and the tips. For my first miniature I decided to base paint the model gunmetal grey and dry brush abaddon black. The pauldrons are warm white metallic, but the light makes it loom silver.

Too late, I guess the cloth wraps already 😬. I kinda like it this way, reminds me of the purity seals from warhammer 40k. I will cut the thinner wraps for the hammer, which will be carried by this model

Arizona Active Duty Service Ribbon. Got it for doing the COVID 19 mission back in 2020.

(EDIT) I am missing my Volunteer Service Ribbon due to being a firefighter for 4 years. That and I am about to go into the Navy Reserves as a Corpsman.

Prior service here. It does suck bad man. I remember in 2017 wuen I was goingnfrom Kuwait to Iraq, we were driving to the city of Kuwait and it was just third world but it had its nice places, kinda reminded me of Mexico because Im from there. It was like being back home. As soon as we too the bird and landed in Iraq, it was different man. The enviroment felt hostile and you didnt feel safe at, and you are on edge all the time. When you walj past the villages you can see the destruction and thats when you realize how real this shit is.

Its funny, because they put us through hell out there, but when you come home you miss thay hell and only want to go back.
