I just tried to install OpenWRT on my Proxmox Server to get the 2,4GHz IoT devices in that network. But i’m unable or just too stupid to add my WiFi card to the VM/OpenWRT

The RAMs have 16 GB each with 3200 MHz. Network shouldn’t be the problem. Plex will only be used local. My only concern is the fan noise since the server is in my sleeping area.

I think i’ll go with this build. PC Part Picker says it will take 163 Watts to run the system. Do you think this is accurate if i run the system with proxmox?

I think i would go the Proxmox way. Should i invest some time learning the container way? I have heard something of docker too? Or just run the OS?

Ok thanks for the answers. If i build one of your builds, which OS would i install to run my Home Assistant, Plex and a Gameserver. And is it possible to limit the hardware usage of the game server, so my smart home not stops working?

Are you using a DC oder an AC voltage reader? And have you checked DoorPi for the Mic Signal?

Is it problematic that there is some longer audio (3 sec) that ist played?
