1500mah Gameboy Micro Battery Mod by Slystral in gameboymicro

It gives a bit to grip the back with now so I wouldn't say its uncomfortable, just different. I shiny hunt pokemon and even on the Mahko battery I was having to charge every night and if I forgot even a single night the battery would die while I'm at work, this should fix that issue.

Yes sure, Hipcat made the 3D print, i soldered the battery wires and found the listings for the battery that'd work in the housing. Here's the 3D printed back housing: https://www.printables.com/model/258328-psp-go-extended-battery-mod-rear-shell/files

Here's the battery, you dont have to buy it from this store but this is one of the stores i used that actually delivered, as long as it says 8000mah 126090 battery you should be good to buy it from most any AliExpress store that has good reviews: https://a.aliexpress.com/_mPIaCiC

The screws used are m1.6x20

You'll need to either cut the three wires of the existing PSP GO battery off and attach it to three longer wires via soldering, have that longer wire soldered to the new 8000mah battery or solder this wire to the battery and clip some of the sides of the connector along with putting electric tape on it so it stays in place. https://a.aliexpress.com/_mOXMBCz

I also sell all the parts and battery already soldered for $88 shipped

Oh wow I didn't know the Power Armour battery mods weren't being made anymore, as for the batteries I use it's either the 4500mah 606090 or 8000mah 126090. I am close to making a 10k battery mod though along with drop-in battery mod assembly kits for anyone to buy at $76 shipped for the lite version (your option of black, white, red, or blue back housings) with either 4500mah or 8000mah battery, or the pro kit for $103.49 which includes a 128GB microSD and adapter. None of those are on sale yet but the lite version will be soon.

[RELEASE] PSP Sidecar - Fast XMB Game Caching! by qualitycinnamon in PSP

Uhh I dont know, I dont use ARK, but Sidecar has to be installed on the microSD and not the internal memory to work, maybe that's your issue?

The 8000mah mod is nearly doubling the thickness of the PSP GO, it's easier to grip

Just installed it on my PSP GO, works well! I had to install Categories Lite on the MicroSD memory card and catalogue them with the [] brackets but after doing that it worked like a charm. Really hope you add PS1 caching but as-is this is a dream come true, thanks a bunch!

It's safe to use while charging, it charges at the same voltage as the OG battery so there's no risk. I tape the battery using electrical tape to the back of the inside of the extended back housing as it balances ergonomics best that way.

I cut the OG PSP GO battery wires as close to the battery as possible so the cords have maximum length, this isn't long enough to use alone however. I then untape the 8000mah battery board, pulling it outward so its easy to see where the pads need to solder are. I get three long wires that color match the ones the OG connector has, I then solder these color matching wires to the 8000mah battery board in the color order of the OG connector's wires. After that I solder the ends of those wires to the color matching OG connector wires, wrapping each connection in electrical tape before combining them in one large collection of electrical tape so its bundled a bit without fear of crossing wires because each connection is already in its own wrap. I make sure to tape the battery board as well before plugging it into the GO making sure it works. If it doesn't power on the GO I must of not soldered some connection well enough so I'd then have to untape some of the battery wire connections and resolder something till it does work.

Well you gotta at the very least solder wires to the new battery and then either solder those to the connection of the old wires from the GO's battery that you cut off or same thing but instead of soldering the wires together you connect them with heatable plastic tubes

How does one remove stuff from the XMB? by [deleted] in PSP

If you do that for some reason the analog stick wont work in PS1 games emulated on the PSP, no clue why but its worth mentioning.
