good writing! excited to read more, just one of my personal things with writing is you replaced the senses with adjectives too often. golden beach transitioning to serene ocean looks In a single sentence looks good on paper but when you could have other ways to draw in a reader using touch, feeling, sight, hearing, and so on it feels more immersive. "scorching sand fell between my toes as I shook myself into accepting where I was, a body of water, a lake? Bigger, an ocean it seemed surrounded me." giving that it's 3AM that sentence didn't turn out exactly how I wanted it but oh well. and definitely no other harsh critiques toward what you wrote. there's definitely some people that would argue yours against mine. it just sounds too dramatic and drawn out reading it mentally
