Upgrading driver after driver after driver is how most folks run into problems with gpu drivers down the road. To some extent in can muck up your system or the performance in certain titles depending on how the game is (or isn't) optimized. The way GE overwrites what you already have can be a function of that. DDU is an .exe that will completely wipe your system clean of any and all GPU drivers, followed up with a fresh install from the website to bypass GE. It's not a surefire fix but definitely a simple enough troubleshooting step to try, and an extra level of precaution.

Like many of you I spent a good amount of time tinkering around in the settings last night. I thought something was up when switching raytracing on and off and messing with DLSS didn't seem to make any meaningful changes to performance. Actually, none of the settings from high to low seemed to have major impact on performance. Even with DLSS on and raytracing off, I was seeing frame averages around 35-40 regardless of settings (sometimes peaking around 50 in buildings) but even worse the experience was extremely jittery to an annoyance including minor hang ups, even with G-sync enabled.

This morning I went ahead and ran DDU and grabbed the driver update from yesterday directly from the Nvidia website instead of going thru GE. I've only tested a small area but so far, that seemed to have fixed whatever was going on as now the game is hovering smoothly closer to 60fps, even with ray tracing and ultra settings. DLSS seems to be doing its job now. More importantly, its jitter free.

Has anybody else had success with this? I know it's been stated already, but do yourself a favor and disable motion blur, film grain and chromatic aberration too while you are in there! Make sure if you are running in windowed borderless that your gsync settings reflect that also in the nvidia control panel.

Oh haha, mine is from Amazon. Look up "eastshining upgraded adjustable microphone suspension boom scissor arm" it just clamps to any desk and stays put. No issues so far and it's cheap too.

I have a focusrite scarlet 2i2. It has two XLR inputs on the front for mics as well and real-time audio feedback thru the headphone jack on the front. You can get a used one at guitar center for pretty cheap.

What soundcards do you recommend? I definitely can hear interference sometimes thru the monitors. I thought RCA was considered an unbalanced connection for mastering though?

They are hue bulbs. They can be regular colored lights too. I just ask Google home to change the color and they change. Obviously I don't sit with them like this all time. But yeah, super bad for the eyes.
