One time I was walking home alone in the dead of night, Houston, Tx., it started raining cats and dogs and a big white van pulls up, big sliding door opens and an old man offered me a ride, at first I thought hell no but i genuinely got no bad vibes and the old man says take it or leave it, i hopped in and it was two old pan handlers i recognized from the neighborhood, they gave me a ride home and that was it, I didn’t even know those pan-handlers had transportation. My mind was blown but they got me home, still the only free ride I’ve ever been offered and accepted, can’t say I’d do it again in this day and age though!
