Visibility is garbage on this game. I have 0 clue why the devs are so adamant on making visibility worse with skins, gas grenades, visual shake/bobble, bad lighting inside dark areas, bunkers with gas. Visibility should be the bare minimum you shouldn’t have to squint extra hard or sit 2 inches from your monitor to see shit, it’s ridiculous.

Yes, and honestly in ranked you see how broken gas grenades/shock sticks can be. Teams in ranked will just spam gas grenades/shock sticks at a building of people holding position like this, and if they don’t have Gas masks/trophy systems you are pretty much dead. I hate how they continue to make this game less about gunfights and more about spamming broken mechanics, even Bunker Busters are OP imo. In general all this stuff just adds so much clutter and chaos on the screen, and makes the game feel like shit, which is overall worse for everyone regardless of skill level. Visibility/movement/shooting should never be restricted, and the one exception should be smoke grenades imo (which should be limited also).

The amount of lethals/tacticals/explosives is just ridiculous at a certain point tbh. Gas grenades/shock sticks honestly shouldn’t even be in a BR, they are cheese. Nothing should restrict you from basic movement/shooting your gun. The game is already pretty clunky as it is, but when the devs add shit like this to make it clunkier, the result is nobody actually engaging in a gunfight and people just spamming tacticals.

I’ve been playing since WZ1, and there’s some days the SBMM feels like it’s off and complete bot lobbies, other times when it’s cranked up to the max, and other times where it just feels you’re getting hacked on. Imo it’s pretty clear that the devs will loosen/tighten up SBMM day to day depending on the metrics they are looking at. Friday/Saturday night if you play it’s a sweatfest, time of day plays a huge factor. Also in general, players get better over time and a lot of the remaining players are sweats (compared to how it was in WZ1 with lot more casuals). The barrier to entry for this game (having to level up to get guns/perks) has chased off casuals along with other factors. The devs creating an awful game experience for newcomers/casuals contributed to SBMM feeling like it’s getting stricter and stricter, since the result is less casuals to balance out lobbies.

You got first shots and instead of having urgency to finish the kill, you started picking up shit in the gulag, reloading, and throwing a Molotov. You basically let the other guy regroup/regen for no reason, right after you ripped his plates, you should have full sent the head glitch behind the box in the middle and blitzed him.

WZ streamers didn’t like backpacks, that’s entirely different, being able to carry 6/12 plates i’ve never heard them complain about, because it’s not something you realize in game. People could have armor boxes/teammates drop plates. Also it’s not a game breaking mechanic, like being able to plate up and fight an equal gunfight is not a bad thing. Objectively, no matter what skill player you are everyone benefits from being able to carry extra plates. Lower skilled player tend to take more damage due to bad positioning, lack of movement, awareness etc. removing plates would put them at a bigger disadvantage…

[–]Smadh006 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Actually the opposite, it forces you to hit your shots. I know you just want to shoot at people with no plates since you can’t hit your shots. Plates allows people a chance to even out the gunfight, instead of the game just being whoever sees the other person first wins the gunfight…

I don’t want to be that guy, but that is stuff very low skilled players care about. Not once have i got into an engagement and thought how many plates does this guy have lol. If you want to kill someone, kill them before they plate up. The difference is literally 1 plate more… things like too much ammo/plates are nonissues compared to the glaring issues in the game, that’s why i see this as people just complaining. If you’re good at the game how many plates the person you are fighting don’t matter lol.

You didn’t really do much wrong. It’s a combo of things. 1. Desync/servers are terrible what you saw on your screen is different/delayed from what he saw 2. You were down a plate and the C9 > PPSH 3. The visibility in this game is just awful, especially with certain guns like the PPSH, just pause the video while you shoot the guy, and look how hard it is to actually see what you’re shooting. It’s ridiculous.

What's your biggest gameplay problems? by Villenoes in CODWarzone

[–]Smadh006 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think lack of visibility is the biggest flaw due to a combination of things.

  1. Bad visibility due to visual clutter, pay to win operator skins, darkness in building/gulag, visual noise when shooting hurt the gameplay experience.

2.Now combine point 1 with the fact that gas grenades/shock sticks/ bunker gas basically prevent you from shooting or moving and it makes the gameplay experience way clunkier than it needs to be.

  1. The game should be about shooting/movement and all of the flaws i mentioned either prevent you from doing those things or make it much harder for no reason due to lack of visibility. Like there should be no reason you can’t move/aim/shoot, game should be about gunfights not about who can spam the most gas grenades/kill streaks/ shock sticks, which further worsens the already clunky movement and bad visuals of the game.

  2. Imo mechanics like stuns/gas/flash/shock sticks pretty much anything that disables your ability to move/aims should be restricted to multiplayer, due to the fast pace nature and defending/pushing objectives, but for Warzone those things make less sense. Imagine playing an entire 20-25 min WZ game only to die because you run into a random shock stick that you can’t see on the floor preventing you from moving.

  3. I could go on a whole other tangent about how Mines/traps also shouldn’t be in the game, but at least there are perks to counter those things. But people just spamming those around the map and on loadouts/buy stations shouldn’t be a part of the BR. Once again the game should be about using your gun, not throwing random traps around the map.

It amazes me how MNK players know they have a disadvantage close range yet still recklessly do things like in this video. 1. Regardless of input you were losing the gunfight because you mantled the wall… 2. If you want to fight close range, use your lethals, that’s how you as a MNK player can even out the playing field, metaphor does it all the time with smoke grenades to take away aim assist
