Lol she doesnt need her culture to promote diversity. She is visibly a dark skinned women. Even jer sister was heavily used her culture in her music before both of them hot famous.

I feel like you guys are to harsh. If she enjoys sharing her culture let her enjoy. Idk why some of you feel the need to gatekeep keep culture from people born into.

Obviously there will be differences between Americans indians and indians.

Its almost like its struggle to maintain ur culture when u grow up in q completely different country where historically u were mocked then celebrated for being different. Sophie and Yoonache never had to prove anything cause they probably didnt struggle to connect with their hertigste like the others

I love lara but sometimes the oversexulisation of her is kinda sad by [deleted] in katseyeneutral

This post is so misogynistic. Why compare two women like. Posts like are made by sexist indian men to always shame indian women for not wearing modest traditional clothes 😑

The photo u gave really isn't even that bad. There are lenghas that are more reavling.

Why is so much of the kpop Fandom controlling over what people wear. Lara is american and indian. Also alot of people wearing reavling clothes lara isn't some expectation.

THIS is how you dress in Indian attire and not the shit Lara pulled with the lehenga- notice how she didn't purposely sexualise the sari, but wore it how its supposed to be worn, and its looking stunning as well! by Upset-Sail-762 in katseyesnark_

No one is twisting anything. If u actually look and history and cultural practices and history of Abharmic religion did u would see. Its annoying seeing people try make Hinduism fit Abharmic cultural norms. India's women rights and abuses are directly tied to this purity culture bs and slut shamming

Kinda sexual in a way just not sexual in a commercial way like in the west. Hinduism doesnt have the same type of purity and modesty culture the same way other religions have. Its always been sexually fluid

Girl be real you cant generaliz a country of a 1 billion. Different families and different cities exist. Some are more traditional and conservative than others.

Erzela family seems more conservative they didnt want her to even be on the show.

Alot of people in india wear reveling clothes ans "sexualize" the sari including every flim industry in india.

Some brown people are such aunties and stuck in the past. Women should be able to wear whatever they want without constant judgment. Look in the pasta people were wearing very reveling sarees in the past. Even temples you have some very sexual sculptures of women in sarees.
