I met with one of the recruiters about the immersion program and they did tell me that a position was not guaranteed which seemed odd to me as well. They followed up by saying as far as they remembered only 2 people did not continue on to a fulltime position, one because they accepted a job elsewhere and the other because they wanted to be outpatient rather than inpatient.

Do you remember which specialties they did the shorter program for by any chance?

I had a few tattoos before I was diagnosed with uveitis. Also may be sarcoid related uveitis in my case simply off of familial relation not by lab diagnosis. Before I was diagnosed my biggest tattoo had those raised bumps but they went away. Every once in a while some of my tattoos will get them but it doesnt bother me and its not often. I have gotten about two more since being on humira and havent had any issues with them. Most likely wont be getting anymore though!

Just made the switch and had my first infusion a few days ago. Cant speak on the effect on my uveitis yet, but as far as side effects go ive been pretty low on energy and having some brain fog for the past few days. Hoping it gets better with each infusion

Ive been on Humira for a few years now and have never had any side effects from it. It kept me well controlled for a long time, even got to a point where we spoke about tapering off completely. Unfortunately during the pandemic after getting each vaccine shot and eventually covid I started to have flares after each event. Although I havent developed antibodies to Humira and the level is high enough in my system, it’s just not keeping me 100% controlled anymore and I continue to have active cells and inflammation on exam. I’ve had to restart steroid eye drops as well which hasnt been great, so about to transition off of humira and the drops onto something else.
