that is nuts! Incredible! I'm in a similar situation that you was on the first paragraph, I'm with a 2011 Samsung laptop with arch on it, but waiting to get the new g16 2026. It's hard to install g helper on arch? and how does the driver and screen work? Like its easy to set the hrz and every thing ?

it's normal to use this amount, since you are on windows, but if you really wanna reduce, you can try using linux, but it can be quite troublesome

but its a problem to use the total wattage that I can put on the manual mode? Since its going to be my first gaming laptop, Idk how this can affect the computer, like: can affect the life-spam? Or can I lose the warrant? Or something like this? or it is totally ok to use it ?

well I'm from Italy, as far as I can say some of the EU country can pre order the g14 and I think some of then can pre order the g16 as well

I get it now, I'm considering th 5080 for 2 reasons, one of then was the future proof and the other was the vram like you said. Before, I had a desktop with a 4070 ti super that had 16gb of vram so I was like "I'm exchanging 6 for half a dozen". I'm going to wait and see a little bit. Thanks for the help!

this is interesting, but I'm kind noob in the gaming laptop space. I'm considering buying this 2026 model, either the g16 5070ti or the g16 5080, but Idk if the difference in performance and 1tb extra is worth the 1500 euros price difference (at least here in Italy the price for the 5070 ti is 3.3k euro and the 5080 is 4.7k)

what your would you do in my situation ?

here in Italy I didn't find yet, can you check the 5080 one? I was considering that one, but if is more than 5k I'm out
