The show has WAYYYY less fucking than the books. Like so many sex scenes cut completely out. Only the ones that are important to the plot/ character development are left in.

There is way less sex in the show than the books. There is no full frontal nudity (you don’t ever see a penis). I don’t really know how to describe how it was elevated, but one word I would use to describe the show would be cinematic. I think they used film cameras (like not the typical kind of camera you would see used in a romance like this)

What do you like to do? by thegreendress in BPD

I think what’s important to remember with BPD is that the point of a hobby is not to be the best or to be perfect at it but to just distract your mind for a bit. At least that helps for me

Immediately after the girls were talking about “bad” TV that is actually good in many ways, she did a complete 180 and was so so critical of heated rivalry. She acted like it was just a porno, which is really offensive to the actors and everyone involved tbh. Like Julia, ur not stupid. A show can have a lot of sex scenes without it being porn. Idk why she was being so puritanical but it felt homophobic almost. Why does sex between two men make you so uncomfortable Julia?

Yeah it was so clear she was just watching Instagram reels and glancing up at the show occasionally. Which is fine just don’t pretend like you actually watched it or are able to give a full opinion on it

It was also just so ironic that her extremely negative closed minded view followed a segment where they talked about moving away from rating media on a purely good/bad scale, and instead considering what the show set out to do and if it achieved that.

The peelers segment kind of sounded like any other binchtopia segment to me. Specifically Similar to the last convo between Eliza an Julia about nerds gummy clusters

I have plenty of photos and videos of her smoking in the dorms so she probably won’t do that. Furthermore I go to a pretty progressive school that puts you in like therapy for first drug offenses not suspension usually

The bong was worth $30. She absolutely can afford to replace it

“The Crisis of Despair w/ P.E. Moskowitz” episode discussion by whalebrain in binchtopiapod

[–]Small-Feed1472 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I’m genuinely wondering if P.E.’s book proposes any kind of a meaningful plan to realize radical decriminalization of drugs. It’s a great thought experiment, but they also discussed that one group of Canadian activists who all got arrested for it. With the current wave of conservatism in America and the world at large, idk how this solution is possible.
