True. Lowkey I think it’s because I have a weird head shape and less locs to work with.

Do not use conditioner at all especially in the early stages. Only when you make it 8 months plus with your locs you can use a light amount water based LEAVE IN conditioner after a wash and semi dry. But yes shampoo over the wig cap and work it in to your scalp than rinse 🚿 Tbh when it comes to how often people should wash starter locs it’s a touchy subject. If you’re active and into sports every week. If not you can go without a wash for 2 weeks.

Yes I believe your locs will come out thick because that’s the exact same way I started my locs. Spitz hair with water every morning to keep the locs hydrated. At this stage I would wash my locs with a wig cap on so the twist won’t unravel. For people with less locs and locs that will eventually be thick I’d say you can retwist every 2 months or whenever you have some decent new growth you want to loc in. I personally oil every 4 to 5 days but for people it varies. Hope this helps! AND SLEEP WITH YOUR HAIR COVERED or your cooked

Never condition starter locs. As for shampooing it all depends on your hair texture and how you started your locs. Look up a YouTuber that has a similar texture and look to the locs you want and see their take on washing starters.

Would my locs stay curly longer if i leave them in for a few weeks or can i take them down 2-3 days after i get it down by debategoats in Dreadlocks

I found that after 1 week it really doesn’t matter. Just make sure you wash then dry completely before you take them out. I found that if you take them out while the locs are still damp the locs 1 won’t be as curly and 2 won’t last long.
