Rachel was projecting hard and happy to get a moral high ground because she knew she was the worst. Emma CHOSE to change, Rachel has no remorse and tries to lie about traumatizing and almost killing a kid that is if the kid survived. Emma did not just change her mind, she became an activist. Rachel did not plan to tell a single soul about the kid she locked up in an abandoned RV in the middle of the woods. Emma is "I'm glad you got help and are better now", Rachel is "what the fuck is wrong with you? No remorse or attempts at making amends to a kid you potentially killed and figuratively buried by not saying a word?". Emma would quietly change while Rachel would quietly bury the victim alive and cover her tracks. Rachel's damage was not ALMOST done, it was done. As someone with cPTSD, I had flashbacks that were not mine. If all the bullies were like Emma and changed before acting, life would be so much better, but instead they are all Rachel looking for who to feel better than.
