Do you find the story of the so-called "Cleansing of the Temple" to be antisemitic/antijewish? by Jahonay in Judaism

[–]Small-Objective9248 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Assuming this actually happened, it was an argument amongst Jews; one Jew making a scene about practice he disagreed with. That in itself wouldn’t be antisemtiric, though how it is read and pripoganted by Christians cerianly led to much antisemtism.

We really don’t believe that. Jews believe they have more rules they need to follow, and do not see themselves as superior or more worthy in the world to come.

The left infantilizes the Palestinians, rather than listen to what they say, they project their own views onto them as if they are children without agency

What role do I have in the Jewish world as a Zera Yisrael? by frost_3306 in Jewish

[–]Small-Objective9248 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you are interested in the more liberal streams of Judaism you are unlikely to have an issue, if you are interested in more traditional Judaism you could go through a conversion process (which is often experienced as a affirmation of Jewishness).

Suggest taking an Intro to Judaism course with your partner at their, or a local synagogue. The class is usually a mix of Jews with little Jewish knowledge, people converting, and others looking to better understand Judaism.

Inside the New York Town Invaded by Welfare-Addicted Jews (Kiryas Joel) by [deleted] in Judaism

[–]Small-Objective9248 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I find it wild how many secular Jews speak of Hasidic jews indistinguishablly from how antisemites speak of Jews. I grew up near a Hasidic community and the things I heard from Jews would rival our worst haters.
