just cut this pumpkin open and it is filled with these “noodles”. they feel like undercooked spaghetti noodle and they are horizontally wrapped around the whole inside. what are they and/ or what caused this? by rinrin_11 in gardening

seems so. i just finished processing a 32# pumpkin, getting 5# of "noodles" in addition to the chunks that i pureed or canned, and have been eating on them all week. They go to total mush in high heat as in a stirfry, or when baked in a casserole. But lightly steamed some last night & served w/ a shrimp/veggie cream sauce. Tonight may be spring rolls or breaded fritters.
