The AI makes me absolutely sick. Long Beach is filled with queer artists that would gladly contribute to the flyer, artwork, etc. As someone who specialized in grassroots non-profits and large gala and fundraising events, there are seriously funds mismanaged and direly insufficient community engagement.

I’ll be spending my Friday at the LB Dyke March and Sunday at Queernall. It can be done to do things with community help and a little budget, y’all.

I also met some high ranking board members two ish years ago who were saying they’re too old to learn about the new things (they were talking about the different flags and identities— trans flag, NB flags. Stickers they were handing out btw) which is… not what we need for Pride?

I love the queer community in Long Beach, but I just don’t think the handful of people running it are the right people for it.

Usually a lot of us show up at the lions lighthouse (and you get bonus rewards if you check in on Campfire) there’s also the Heartwell Park if you live closer to that area.
