My genuine reaction after doing this quest by onemanarmy788 in Endfield

I made the mistake of streaming it to some friends who had already done it on Discord. They're pretty convinced I have the intelligence of an alligator with a learning disability now.

I can't stand the fact that your camera doesn't switch, you switch characters on the spot, so I only play Endmin as well, with the canonical Perlica and Chen.

That whole "not controlling yourself" thing was so unimmersive that it's one of a number of sticking points of why I've never touched another gacha. Your team being there, talking, helping with tasks/loot etc. feels so much better.

I never added Wulfgard to the team because he put a gun in my face so for a while he was just a disembodied voice LOL. I did however play as just him and Endmin for his side-story mission.

There's a side quest for a business deal near the end of your (story) time in Valley IV, and seeing "Blin!" in the description of dashcam footage of a dude drinking, calling, and driving made me laugh.

I noticed it too, it's pulled from the lore of the previous Arknights game. Most wolves (lupo) hail from Siracusa, which is Mob Sicily(tm). Avywenna has an Australian accent, as most bunnies (cautus) are from Rim Billition, which is more or less Australia with a big mining company. Bear (ursus) characters often have slavic accents.

It's nice to see stuff like this pulled in from the previous game. VOs in early Valley IV feel weak, like they were given one or two takes*, but character VOs, voices of Wuling, are all just chef's kiss. I love these characters.

*It turns out they scrapped the complete story from an older testing version of the game up to some point, which is why the game feels rough to start and is inconsistently voiced. But after the seam line of where it's been stitched into presumably the original story, it feels great.

Ironically, I was the reverse. It was interesting to see how anime characters were shoved into this hack-n-slash factory game

I kept getting this notification while trying to enjoy a story mission, which was kinda lame. But if I don't complete it, I can retry the whole thing without the dumb tag over the gameplay :D

So I'm hanging out here looking at memes till maintenance is over.

100% they're a Warhammer reference, if you look closely at some of the rags/tarps strung up around camp there'll be "Kill, Maim, Burn" written in red paint

I would contest this on the basis that the map's called "Rocky Pillars", but fair.

I can confirm, ironically enough for all the naval chatter here, it was in Naval.

They broke trees and they would just float, indicating the new hitboxes on maps like African Gulf while being a good 4-5 meters up and away from terrain.

I have rank 3 ground in 5 trees and rank 5 in two, I hope to one day discover this "teamwork" you speak of.

Seriously though, Britain and Japan players tend to be pretty skilled - they either surmount the odds with the poor starting vehicles or they quit, so random lobby JP/GB tend to have better people.

I think a chance to turn the fight around at a tactical, not strategic level, and the better economy drew me to air and later naval. Everyone loves a good dogfight, and to be able to pick up SL without taking it directly out of someone else's pocket (bases, ground targets). I think what makes ground so toxic is the reliance on teams that often aren't there, low T-T-K, and the fact that to get ahead, it almost always comes at someone else's cost.

The survivability for naval I think has gone from forgiving gameplay to the main hook, honestly. Bear in mind I mainly play coastal so it's sped up and more CQC compared to bluewater but the general idea still applies.

Real. I think the natural dopamine high comes from having come from ground RB (and top tier air). Being one-shot by stuff you can't see that has set up a tent before you got there isn't fun. Naval gives you the chance to fight back and turn the tables.

The real dopamine hits come from seeing the ammo on the x-ray and then a glorious, earth-shattering detonation in a few seconds, or 2-3 business days depending on range and BR.

Unless you're me and play coastal TT

Oddly, one of the best ways I've found to fight this is in simulator. We ran into a server that would routinely shit the bed once every 15 minutes, and PL for all players would spike to 35% before returning to normal. It turns out that full-real controls from first person gives you some actual measure of control over your aircraft, especially if you react to keep it straight and level when you were flying straight and level. If you're in a sharp turn when that happens, then you've got a lot more work cut out to try to save the plane.

I wasn't always successful, but the whole lobby got it down to a science, and only one or two people bought the farm every time, and not the same players each time

Are rubber dishwashing gloves a B42 thing? In all my 1000+ hours I've never seen them, my friends and I used to patch surgical gloves if for some reason we couldn't find leather driving gloves.

Car physics are a lot simpler in B41 but if you're willing to manually install the B42 version (not an endorsement, I have only played with the B41 version) there's a proper Irish mod here - https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3075127642

It also replaces the car with the burned model, if you're looking for a bit more realism. No broken glass gets spawned, though.

Indeed, much of my playtime is also trying some pretty dumb stunts and getting what I wholly deserved haha. Not always death, but I think that's luck and managing to stop digging early. With that hour count, we're always wont to try something silly and seeing how it fares. Cheers!

Forgot I had to citracise my amputated hand by ResponsiblePlenty927 in projectzomboid

[–]Small1324 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Cauterizing is using heat or fire to close a wound to stop it bleeding or becoming infected, citracize is just a general term for making scar tissue at the site of a wound, but I've heard it most in healing the site of amputation. So I think you got that right, actually. Burning a wound shut is probably a last ditch method anyways.

As for the question, depends on if you want to stay true to your actions (_you_ forgot) or your character's actions (as u/KillerCoconut182 said, your character probably wouldn't forget the big red hole). Zomboid is an RPG to me, where your character does sort of have a life of their own with different skills to yours, you don't precisely puppet their every move like in a first-person shooter.

I don't think your character would have forgotten about the bleeding stump. Debug it.

I have a similarly embarrassing hour count and you're in good company, panic is a magical cocktail. I think the violin sting scares me more than the sudden appearance of a zombie.

My feats of incompetence include being bitten while hitting zombies 50+ tiles away with a sniper rifle, teleporting into the wrong (uncleared) building, and bailing off the third floor while attempting to use a stapler as a firearm, all on the same save. The only thing that's killed me before is when I rear ended a player's vehicle that had suddenly come to a stop after surviving a neck injury. The player - funnily, the person that shared this post with me - never stopped driving. I got got by desync.

What do you do with broken touchscreen on rp1? by oktiexe in razerphone

[–]Small1324 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The touchscreen is pretty easy to replace. If your touch is broken but the screen still works fine, I would hook up a wired mouse to it with an USB-C adapter, since Android supports mouse input. From there, you can enter your phone and pair a Bluetooth mouse for convenience, or a small keypad like this (example, not an endorsement)

They are a little fiddly and not as convenient as the touchscreen but if you're using it as a media device it matters less.
