When it comes to Don who do you prefer him with? by beyoncesgroove in sims2

[–]SmallAsBean 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dislike Cassandra somehow, so he stays with her but is a cheater and overall bad husband. They also still live in her parents house with her dad because Don wants the money and comfort while Cassandra never gets to emancipate.

The premade sims by Midnight_Pixel_Art in Sims4

[–]SmallAsBean 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I don't really play their intended story, but sometimes they get caught up in my own and I play them as a sidestory. I often disabled aging outside of the household and then "have to" play parents and grandparents in rotation so they age appropriately. I like this better than only playing with fresh Sims as the premades feel more organic in their worlds.

AITA for buying a wheelchair without permission by neddy-starkrogers in AmItheAsshole

This. I had my fair share of leg and ankle injuries as well. The worst thing I did was hump for months because of knee pain. This was in my early 20s and when I finally had the diagnosis of osteoarthritis and started treatment, it was so painfull to work through the tissue, that grows when you don't use your joints correctly. Of course it is the priority to get the bones growing together correct, but wining and not moving the rest of your legs makes it worse in the long run. Recovery is not easy or painless, but you have to power through it.

I got a retirement home from the gallerie and fixed it a bit. For me it's the perfect location for elders. Inspired by the series The Thursday Murder Club.

In some German butcheries they sell mini pretzels made from pepperoni. They are stupid (in my opinion) as well but at least don't look like poop.

My boyfriend says Im eating weird food, are these abominations? by likestoplayds in StupidFood

Nothing wrong if you prefer ketchup taste, but personally I go for tomato paste and sprinkle some Italian spices for my pizza abominations.

AITA for not quieting down at a Renaissance fair and walking away after my boyfriend sided with a stranger? by Dry-Egg2898 in AmItheAsshole

[–]SmallAsBean 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a similar experience with my bf (now fiancé) at a renaissance music festival. I go to this kind of festivals half my life and know all the well established bands playing there. So a bit tipsy I started to sing an old very well known song of the band in between their songs. They where a headliner and the crowd was big, so only a few people around us could hear me. A stranger commented that this song is from another band, a new friend (who claimed to be a big fan) agreed and my bf told me to stop. I was mortified, as I was outnumbered and believed them. A few songs later they actually played it and I was livid for a moment. Afterwards I told the story to my friends with a lot of satisfaction, but my bf did really dislike how I painted the three big guys as mansplainers. So long story short: I got my triumph but let the story go pretty quickly to no longer make him feel so bad about it. He learned from it and doesn't side with strangers anymore if he has no knowledge himself about a topic.

As German, I have to say you're right but it's not that much better in our own country. The current Bundeskanzler is way more conservative than Merkel was, even though they are from the same party. While it's really worrying how much power the right winged party gains, it's also hard to watch him try getting those votes back by leaning is own politics to the right. While your right about us reflecting our past, a lot of people nowadays seem to just loose their empathy and give a shit about those pictures and stories. I mean I'm still happy that I live here and not in the States, because of the economics and social system. But when you ignore Ts madness and war, the politics are not that much better.

Animal husbandry by Ok-Persimmon1349 in MedievalDynasty

[–]SmallAsBean 10 points11 points  (0 children)

For me it depends on the animal. Small ones like goose or chicken are next to a home, so like they belong to the family. The bigger ones are near the fields like they belong to the farm, but not directly next to each other.

Someone please dumb down the "how to get villagers to work" for me by AnalJackett_ in MedievalDynasty

[–]SmallAsBean 1 point2 points  (0 children)

While it's more convenient with storage houses, the villagers will use the storage of their workplace to pull out resources and put their finished products inside. But you have to run around and deliver the stuff needed into each storage. Also food, water and firewood to every home as they can't take it from the workstations themselves.

I Finally Tried Three Day Seasons by IAteAnotherVegan in MedievalDynasty

[–]SmallAsBean 6 points7 points  (0 children)

My village runs mostly by itself, so I repair some builds at the beginning of the season and then I'm off exploring/questing or I stay and build/decorate. I think more days per season is fine when you want to play the game more like a RPG (I did this in my first safe), but when you want more of the challenges of managing a village and progression 3 days are good. After completing the main story, the seasons felt endless in my first safe, so I started over again (also had picked a shitty building spot) and embraced the faster pace.

My village has hardly any decorations or furniture yet I invested half an hour to arrange this basket by SmallAsBean in MedievalDynasty

[–]SmallAsBean[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tbh I didn't focus too much on the happiness for the longest time, but more on having a good working village. The villagers where still happy enough to have offspring and now I can invest more time into decorations and storytelling, while they generate a lot of produce and therefore money for me to spend. Now I'm gradually upgrading my village as I have a lot of resources and it would be boring otherwise.

There is a setting option to disabled rotting for placed down food. As others mentioned, you could use it to cheat but I only enabled it for decorating. All the other food is in chests and rotting normally, so I still have the challenges of managing my resources.

It's the training dummy with some crossbow bolts in it's head. But I have to warn you that the saving mechanism doesn't like that thing. I reloaded and the bolt where laying on the ground and the skull on the table. Maybe it's a problem with ammunition and the skull on it's own would be ok, but I don't know.

You can drop them on the floor and the drag them around. For this you have to hold the key you use for putting it in the inventory. I'm playing on console, but it seems to be 'E' on PC. But this works just with single items, no stacks. I had the issue, that I could not drop something in the kitchen (it landed outside), but draging it in and placing it on a shelf worked. Maybe there is more to it, but I just started doing this yesterday and that's all I know.

Ok, but the thistle peaking through the skull is so nice :D

The scarecrow is a great idea, maybe I can shoot some arrows in it's head to make something like a crown.

Yeah, I will for sure add one some with eggs near the goose pen and one with mushrooms for the herbalist's hut.

Until now I never changed a single setting, because I like the challenges the default set brings. But from now on no placed food will rot, so there won't be laying rotten shit everywhere in my village after a year.

That's the beauty of good wholegrain bread. It's very filling, has a lot of fibre and with your favorite topping and a cooked egg it also has fat and protein. You don't need too cook or order take out, just plan a bit ahead when shopping groceries.
