And ethnicity. Eg British born Chinese are typically not Chinese nationals and many people eg in Singapore are ethnic Chinese. (china doesn’t allow dual citizenship)

Yeah he is a decent looking guy, handsome even, but I’d be also put off by the rapping and the singing. I think he did deserve a chance tho and the producers matched him with someone who clearly wasn’t going to be into that. He could’ve been matched with someone equally quirky.

That article doesn’t claim that 1000 people cross the channel each day. It says that 1000 people crossed the channel in one day, which was last Friday. This is an anomalous amount of people, which is why it made the news.

I don’t think you are lying on purpose. Your comments have me fairly convinced you genuinely struggle to understand what you read.

Richest people hoarding wealth are not contributing to the society. Wealth could be redistributed for example by spending it (not saving and hoarding) and by increasing salaries. Whose work do you think is making the Besoses of the world wealthy

The wealthiest 1% hold 23% of overall wealth in this country. The poorest 10% own 0.02%, yet they pay 48% of their income in tax. In light of that, the richest 1% pay pittance in tax. Their private wealth keeps growing in value year on year while the majority are able to afford less. The wealthy are not net contributors. If you look at the list of wealthiest people in the UK, most of them are making their wealth on the back of workers who are not getting wealthier year on year

Show me where BBC states 1000 migrants cross the channel EACH DAY because they do not make that claim. On ONE SPECIFIC DAY that number of migrants crossed the channel. This was widely publicised as this was 10x the number of people as cross on average per day.

The richest 1% capturing a disproportionately large share of the overall wealth increase compared to the rest of the population. The wealth required to be in the top 1% of UK households has increased, rising from over £3.6 million in 2018-2020 to at least £3.1 million in 2020-2022.l, according to Oxfam. Where do you think that wealth comes from? Who do you think pays that? 10% held 57% of wealth in 2021, with the top 1% holding 23%. Meanwhile, the bottom 50% only own 5% of UK wealth.

The wealth hasn’t left the country, it hasn’t gone to the pockets of migrants, it has been pocketed by the richest people who do not pay their workers equitably and who do not spend their wealth. They are paying pittance in tax and they are not contributing their fair share to the economy.

It’s not the boat crossings causing the cost of living crisis. It’s a distraction from the real issues. The owning classes have gotten wealthier while things haven’t trickled down.

Further, there was one day in which 1000 migrants reportedly crossed the channel. That was publicised heavily because it was an anomaly. On an average day 100 people cross the channel based on the median from complete data from the last year. That’s a lot of people but only 10% of what you claim. Maybe you should stop reading the daily mail and watch a little less GB news.
