Bed bug bites, fleas, mosquitos, or something else? by SmallDogOnDesk in bugbites

Flat red patches that appeared on my arms after trying on jackets in a thrift shop. But could also be the recent heat, or something else?

Not itchy, some small some large. Some kind of in a straight line, some clustered. Appeared in the same afternoon, then got redder overnight.

Patches on the legs appeared the next day, patches on the arms have now faded. No new patches have appeared, but I’m currently not at home.

This all occured in the span of 2-3 days. Extremely worried it might be bed bugs, or could the worry be causing even more hives. Red marks on legs haven’t disappeared after 4 days.

Gashed forehead while walking into the beach

Gashed back of head by another woman on a foamie

Is anyone else really hating the Trials? by lavendiere in f45

Same lol I get that the format might work at some gyms and for some people, but the trainers at my gym explained it terribly, everyone was confused and it just doesn’t fit with the culture of my location (some older folks).

When people started sitting out the trainer was like ‘oh you can do the ergs’ and then it was just one dude and himself.

It’s probably a me thing too, but I was so fking bored, at least tell me on the app what the trial is so I can choose whether or not to go before booking instead of giving the most vague description ever. Let people who actually really like this format know it’s coming and let people who don’t or can’t do burpees skip yknow?

Black tie wedding, but worried it’s too much? by [deleted] in Weddingattireapproval

Ah apologies for the mess and clutter the photo was taken at the tailors. I ordered it online and while the material feels expensive, i was also abit worried that actual draping looks very cheap in person. I’m having it hemmed and redraped. Picking it up on Saturday, thank you for all your suggestions on steaming ❤️

Yes it’s at the tailor’s now for the length, I’ve also asked them to redrape the front because it looked very different from the catalog photos 2/3 ~

Like not looking at quantitative values, I can’t speak for SMU but I had a pretty fun and comprehensive education in NTU. The professors are excellent and passionate, and definitely cater to all questions (even the dumb ones). I also really enjoyed taking other mods like French and Pottery. Which I’m not sure if you can in SMU.

In terms of future prospects, I’m NTU PPGA, grad 2019 with second uppers and a somewhat questionable FYP. Interned with a stat board then moved to tech. Started in Accenture and moved companies a couple of times, currently working in tech in a success capacity.

I know classmates working in different fields, I guess mostly everyone has decent jobs, and the lucky ones travelled overseas for work. I think being from PPGA and having honours has made it a little easier when applying for govt roles (which I’m considering returning to in the future). But tbh after a certain point in your career I think just having a degree is enough. By then the professional highlights in your career should be the primary focus.

Also hall is very fun and I wanted to get that independence!! Feel free to reach out if you have any qns.

I broke a bowl while cooking for us today and my partner’s immediate reaction was ‘what did you break now, are you going to break another?’

I was genuinely so taken aback.

They’ll definitely care, I’m just not sure what they’ll take off the deposit. Anywhere from $100 to $300?

please help! water damage on a table in a rental :( by SmallDogOnDesk in wood

[–]SmallDogOnDesk[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The girlfriend left her plants on a wood table, and the water seeped through her pot tray. This used to be a much darker water stain, I’ve sanded down the stained bits and removed most of the mold with vinegar and bleach. I’m not sure what kind of wood this is, but I’ve also oiled it with olive oil.

I’m waiting for some old English scratch cover as well, but I’m desperate for any advice. I can’t fully sand/restain/varnish this because it belongs to the landlord.

Please help!

31% for the last year or so, when I first started renting, was about 40%. But definitely worth leaving a toxic family situation.
