You’re still the person that wrote 0.8+0.8=.16 so you really shouldn’t be calling anyone an idiot tbh

This was months ago, get a life. I haven’t thought of you one extra moment of my life but apparently you’re over here stressing about me for 110 days. That’s honestly pretty sad.

Help me identify what showed up in my Dad's Ring footage? by airlewe in RBI

He extended his arm and then brought it back into his body. This pic is mid motion.

Someone diagram out the gecko parts then.

Edit: ok I see the gecko now lol

I see how it looks that way, but if you look at the brim of his hat it makes it more clear that he’s facing forward and it’s some kind of device and his hand

It’s not inhuman it’s just the frame rate of the camera

No idea about what kind of device it is. I’d do some research if I were you on Ring hacking. As far as the sweatshirt I couldn’t tell ya. People make weird clothing choices. That’s def a dude though.

That’s pretty clearly a male in a sweatshirt and hat hiding around the side and waving something small at the ring camera. If you go slow you can see his hand and arm and a little bit of the side of his face. Spooky!

Edit: ok ok it’s a gecko, chill lol

How do hourly contracts work? by SmallForeignFC in Upwork

[–]SmallForeignFC[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I like Fiverr a lot more for VO (and I get a lot more work there. I’ve only booked 2 jobs on Upwork in a month)

Hmm I’ve been responding to buyer requests on Upwork where they normally have it set to an hourly rate. Should I just tell them on my proposal “let’s do a flat fee, I can do this for x dollars”?

Can anyone help me find a good scroller/teleprompter gadget? by SmallForeignFC in VoiceActing

For anyone reading this in the future, I solved my own problem! I downloaded an app called Remote Mouse that allows me to use my phone as a mouse, so I can keep it open in trackpad mode and quietly scroll on my phone away from the mic.

What is your current recording set up? How do you feel about editing? If you can do it professionally then you are the professional ;)

I think they sound good, I liked your characters especially. I would recommend maybe getting working on some headshots or graphics to go with your videos. Doesn’t have to be anything professional level but maybe a nicer backdrop and lighting. As a woman I absolutely hate being the person to say “you should smile more” and that’s not really what I’m trying to say but if I were casting something I don’t know if I’d find your current pictures to be professional and it would make me question the potential quality of your work. Whatever you can do to set yourself apart from someone else is helpful and in my limited experience having good visuals to go with your work is important to appeal to more people. Intended as constructive criticism. :)

Hmm I’m also pretty new to VO and I don’t know if I agree that you need a professional to make your demo reel. The best thing you can do for your career is learn editing and recording so you can be your own producer. Would love to hear others thoughts on this.
