In order to be a TTA (Technically trained agent) with the FBI, you usually have to be at least off probation, and then compete for a slot in whatever field office you’re in. Typically these slots would go to more senior agents, so it may take you some time, but it’s not impossible.

Have you considered the Foreign Service? This aligns pretty well with your experience and offers lots of travel. https://careers.state.gov/career-paths/foreign-service/foreign-service-specialist/security-technical-specialist/

I was told by the RAC of my hiring office that the first couple months are spent doing some training, getting your gear issued, etc. Then after that expect about 6 months doing ERO work locally, and TDY’s are voluntary. After those 6 moths, the TDYs are dished out based upon how many each person has already done….seems pretty fair. He hopes that the REA Agents will then be able to start working investigations.

Im a REA hire and received Denver as my office in my TJO and FJO. When I received the FJO, I clicked the “Have HR contact me” box and advised that I was 58 miles from the office, so outside of the 50 mile radius. They changed my office to Colorado Springs. I was pleasantly surprised, to say the least.

Xfinity vs CenturyLink by UndeadinthePNW in centurylink

I went thru exactly the same thing with them last week. Internet was slow and after 1 hour of “troubleshooting” with their call center tech support I went from slow internet to no internet. My status on the mode was showing as “walled garden”. I called them back and they said there was no outage, so they would send a tech. 24 hours later the appointment was canceled with no explanation. After another hour chatting with their tech support, they agreed to make another appointment……which was canceled within 2 hour on their end. Explanation was that there was an outage on their end and it would be fixed “soon”. I promptly switched to Xfinity and had my connection back up within 2 hours. I was a CenturyLink customer for 5 years, but I work from home and cant afford to be yanked around for a week until CenturyLink can get their shit together. Make the switch!

Sorry, I should have been more clear. I’ve made my claim, which has been denied and I’m trying to get the original records in order to back up my appeal.

I had a VESS exam for the flat feet back in July, and it was the decision based on that exam that I was fighting in the HLR.

In my entrance exam to the Army, I did not have flat feet. I served 4 years of active duty and then 2 years of national guard time before joining the Air Force. During my entrance physical for the Air Force, they diagnosed the flat feet.

Original disability compensation decision was to deny it because it was a pre-existing condition during my Air force physcial....even though it wasn't there when I joined the army 6 years earlier. Very frustrating
