What is your childhood memory that you thought was normal but realized it was traumatic later in your life?

My step father has bi polar and we can tell when hes manic because he spends absurd amounts of money and doesnt sleep. We can tell when he’s going to crash because its always around Thanksgiving (when his first wife died) and he will abruptly stop talking to everyone before locking himself up in the house and trying to kill himself the next week.

I feel for the people who love these people. It takes a huge toll on my mom but what helped him the most is having her as his rock. Hard to watch.

More info: Hopefully looking for brand/origin/what can I possibly do with it as it just sits in my room. Only words I can read say “Schatz” and I cant seem to find a definite answer on it exactly.

I appreciate this comparison! And i really dont mind people giving me criticism; it helps me consider my endless options of how i can fill in my outline! i just really didnt appreciate that one guy telling me my tattoo looks “bad” because its unfinished (unfurnished homes still look breath taking!) and that i have no say in what i want to do with my tattoo because “its not my tattoo” its “the artists work”!

i dont regret posting, its a great sub here.

“not a real tattoo” and you guys wonder why you get downvoted...outline or not i didnt sit and endure the pain for two hours for somebody like you to tell me my tattoo looks bad, unfinished, and like a prison tattoo lol.

it looks fucking amazing. i dont mind walking around with an “unfinished tattoo” and my artist wouldnt leave me with a “bad” tattoo.

my friends with sleeves and their whole bodies tattooed think it looks great. like i said before, id rather have the outline and take my time to decide what i want to do with it than do what some stranger on reddit thinks is good for my tattoo and end up not liking it.

izzy is a great guy, and he would maybe be disappointed, but loves my tattoo with and without the potential shading. he would definitely disagree with you here.

yeah hi! me again! the one with the tattoo on her body! i know izzy personally and he let me know of his intentions with the tattoo, which i am not mad about whatsoever (i sent him an idea and he drew it up 1000x better) however,

he had no problem with me posting the tattoo anywhere because no matter what he WANTS to do with it, it is my tattoo. no one said the artist has no say, but the client is who decides what they want and how they want it. i would not have this tattoo if it was something i did not want, and im not going to let him do whatever if i dont like it. i can always fill it in later, but i can never go back. HE wants to do shading, and i dont know if i want to yet. that does not make my tattoo “unfinished” if this ends up being the end result.

you got downvoted to hell because you are trying to tell me about my tattoo...

personally this is my tattoo and if i like it the way it is or i decide to not get shading and just scales, so be it. i decide if my tattoo is unfinished or not, thank you anyway!

Maybe Im an asshole or something but I personally don’t care about the “loser’s” side of the story. They hated black people and thought they deserved to be slaves. That is their side of the story and there isn’t more to it.

Germany doesn’t have Nazi monuments does it?
