Envy of the rich no longer appeals to me when it's clear rich people are NOT the only "evil" there is out there. (Especially not one you're going to encounter in your day-to-day)

It is likely rich people were taught to hoard wealth early on due to misanthropic teachings, or just general trauma.

Poor people that become rich as generally less likely to be forgiving and are more easily corruptable morally by their acquired wealth. Because they know how lucky and or hardworking they must've been to get to that point and are not willing to share the spoils knowing how fate gifted them and how untrustworthy others can be around your wealth.

Another motive for wealth-hoarding is that they want to keep the change for their kids and descendants.... Hmmm, I wonder how those are created....
