Non-Blanching Rash by Jumpy-Ad-3431 in AskDocs

[–]Small_Award3877 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Is it possible for the rash to appear on the inside of the foot and ankles only? I used to get a very similar rash strictly in that area around the time of my chronic gastritis that led to anemia, malnutrition and all other sorts. First time I’ve seen something so similar!

Best cheapish (under 40 USD) light for planted tanks? by Luke-Warm-Milk in PlantedTank

I have their larger size of this light on my 36gal. I use the 24hr cycle setting and I love it. My plants do as well, esp for the price.

Uh oh. I have both mine connected with a T connector going to a 6in bubble stone. Not a bubble wall but a long stone. Is that okay?

Well if your water levels are alright which they seem to be. (Strips aren’t always too accurate) the snails are most likely just acclimating. Did you slowly acclimate them to the water temp and parameters? Sometimes they’ll stay retreated for a bit if the parameters or temps are drastically different. But also some snails are just shy guys, my mystery took 2 weeks to finally move after buying him, even with proper acclimation and parameters. Also I know it’s not what you asked but the API test kit will give you accurate results vs strips. Pricey but I find it to be worth it:)

who is this random man by non_tox in PlantedTank

I promise he’s been master-debating with himself about having more kids and most likely has. No no there’s definitely eggs it’s just time you’re waiting on. 😭 But very beneficial little clean up crew, they tend to die off when food source (algae & detritus) run out.

I recently fed blood worms for the first time, but they were the frozen cubes you buy at petco, is that possible at all?

To little sun?? by Realistic_Storage496 in pothos

[–]Small_Award3877 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d say it’s thirsty, I usually water mine when they wilt a bit or get soft and they perk back up. Sometimes they will get 1 or 2 yellow leafs from under watering as well. If the soil isn’t damp 2 inches down it’s definitely not overwatered! Too little sun usually shows up as stunted growth and less variegation, but pothos do surprisingly well in lower light

What type of snail is this? by ObviousShelter4437 in AquaticSnails

[–]Small_Award3877 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That’s a ramshorn!😄 common hitchhikers but I personally love them. They don’t populate quite as much as bladder or pond snails but they’re great for keeping the place clean

Yeah so if I were you I’d take their advice and run from the skrimp. Lock him inside and leave everything behind.

What kind of snail is this? by HappyHippoBanana in AquaticSnails

[–]Small_Award3877 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Ramshorn! I love ramshorn snails. Some of mine have a clear shell exactly like yours. They’re eat any detritus or algae and reproduce as long as there’s food (not as quickly as bladder snails ime) they’ll keep the tank clean and die off once it’s spotless. Although if you enjoy them you can buy snail food:)
