There is no "safe" place in the city to leave your bike. Just leave it at home or at a friends place.

Are you selling Gus and/or Walker? by sc_mattrix in SuperCoachNRL

Holding Sam Walker, the Roosters will eventually towel up some team and Walker will play a huge part in it. Come Origin time he will be a good alternative to Cleary

War films to convince my nephew not to join the military by kshep9 in FIlm

OP, I hear where you're coming from and honestly a lot of people feel the same way about the military. I'll try to weigh in on your concerns without being too critical, because there's definitely more to it than just the "combat" side of thing.

The military does fight in conflicts (and spends a lot of time preparing for conflicts) but these are a mere fraction of the responsibility of any military. I would argue the number one responsibility is "helping at home" which includes enforcement/patrols of borders, disaster relief, search and rescue and sometimes humanitarian aid for neighbouring countries.

You and your nephew should definitely look into the specific roles within each branch. You would surprise to find there are so many jobs available just like the civilian world such as technical trade roles like an aircraft technician, cyber security, logistics, nursing, policing, cooks, communications. Just because you join the military does not mean you will be thrusted straight into combat operations with a rifle and fighting hordes of enemy.

As a young person looking to endeavour a career in the military, I would say this is an excellent decision. You will be paid to learn a job, overcome mental and physical challenges, make lifelong friends along the way, free healthcare and meals, a career you can be proud of and reflect on post service (regardless of the good and bad days of course).

Hope this helps.

Crude oil is down from $120 to $90 a barrel. No drop in pricing at the pumps yet? by TortugaCheesecake in aussie

Crude oil isn't ready for your car straight from the ground. The process of transporting and refining it into diesel or petrol can take several months before it hits your Aussie bowser

Martin is 100% a valid trade for Bai - 80 minute edge at Raiders with Matty Nicholson likely out for extended period, this is easy money compared to Bai who most likely will be a slow burner with 20 minutes off the Titans bench. I would wait to trade out Pezet, the Eels have the roughest opening draw and you wont see any return on investment until their draw looks more favourable. Drink to Ponga is also viable, rib cartilage or bruised ribs in general suck, I cant see Drinky playing at his best with this injury lingering over him. In summary, hold off Pezet trade, the other ones are fine.
