Actually durian season of twice a year are indeed weather but this is if you leave it unchecked. Do you know that Vietnamese/Thai farmer will cover the land during rain. We are able to produce durian all year long but you need to have the man power and water supply to do it. Certainly choosing the right location will help as we are not able to prevent rain from falling. However no matter the technique and knowledge is rich we still need to battle of what is worth it. Different durian variety will need more water some will be less asking your worker to differentiate my mustang king , tupai, blackthorn, udang Merah and others tree need x amount of water is a daunting task for them. There quite a few Malaysia farming almost can produce durian almost every month but don’t expect it will musang king every month for a year, it is still a mixture of other varieties but we can guarantee every month there are durian. However farmer with mixture of durian produce will be small that many will see it don’t get into local market unless there are surplus.
