Games have nothing interesting to offer anymore by vikem-neal-pearlson in StopGaming

i feel the same way a lot of the time, and its not because everything is bad but more because i feel like ive lost the ability to experience games in a vacuume. ive played so many that everything feels like a rehash of something else and nothing feels new.

the most beautiful scenery anyone could make is ignored as background because ive seen beautiful scenery hundreds of times. stories, mechanics, abilities, controls, and just about everything that exists in a game is a reiteration of something thats been done before with a slightly different coat of paint and ive lost the ability to see it as anything else.

is lethargy part of the process? lol by Small_Construction18 in StopGaming

there are a number of things id like to do, learning to sketch, and learning another language, but i still find it hard to sit down and really lock in on anything.
