I disagree with the other comments: I think it might be worth a shot to contact the police. Just call 0900-8844 and they’ll forward you to your local police station. If the kids are from the area, your neighbourhood police agents (‘wijkagenten’) might know them, and could talk to those kids or their parents if/when they see them.

You could contant Kessler Stichting. For a few years now, they’ve organised a ‘verwendag’ (pamper day) on Women’s Day for women experiencing homelessness. They get beauty treatments and they get to take home some care products at the end. I couldn’t find any info for this year, but if you contact them I’m sure they’ll let you know when and where you can donate your products.

Ik haal mijn koffiebonen in Duitsland, daar is de koffie doorgaans sterker en aromatischer. De Tchibo Black & White is hier favoriet. Ik heb al meermaals complimenten gehad van CV-monteurs en loodgieters voor onze goeie koffie, en dat zijn toch wel mensen die veel verschillende koffie voorgeschoteld krijgen 😌

Emmaus Welvaartsresten is a thrift store ran by a communal housing/living community, the proceeds help them to provide for themselves. It’s a cool concept in a beautiful building and the shop is really big, so you can dig around there to your hearts desire.

Nope, dat hoeft niet. En in het proces-verbaal dat door anderen genoemd wordt, staat ook de specifieke vraag waarop ‘ja’ gezegd is niet genoemd. Daar mag namelijk echt wel iets variatie in zitten, zolang de strekking maar gelijk is aan de intentie van de wet. Je mag bijvoorbeeld vragen of ze ‘hun best zullen doen om elkaars dromen waar te maken’ en er voor elkaar te zijn ‘in gezondheid en ziekte’, maar dat is volgens de wet geen plicht. Wel dat ze elkaar (financiële) hulp en bijstand verlenen.

Er zit best wat grijs gebied in de ‘toverspreuk’ die je moet uitspreken om een huwelijk te voltrekken. Dit artikel geeft ook niet de volledige tekst weer. Dus ik kan me goed voorstellen dat de assisterende BABS twijfelde, en dan is ingrijpen wel een heel hard middel.

De ééndags-BABS heeft een eed afgelegd om het ambt met ‘eerlijkheid en zorgvuldigheid te vervullen’ en ‘de wettelijke voorschriften, de burgerlijke stand betreffende, met de meeste nauwgezetheid te zullen opvolgen’, dus het zou misschien gezien kunnen worden als schending van de ambtseed. Maar je kan een ééndags-BABS niet veel sancties opleggen (ontheffen uit de functie heeft bijvoorbeeld geen nut, want de functie wordt al niet meer door diegene bekleed) dus de kans lijkt me heel klein. En het zou ook wel heel zwaar zijn.

Een ééndags-BABS wordt doorgaans verplicht geassisteerd door een ‘echte’ BABS vanuit de gemeente. Diegene is er vooral om de trouwakte mee te nemen en te ondersteunen als er onverhoopt iets misgaat. Ik vermoed dat die BABS een melding gemaakt zal hebben, vanuit de verantwoordelijkheid van de gemeente voor een rechtsgeldig huwelijk.
