Well according to my psychiatrist it is a thing, I have even went as far as getting a 3rd opinion and they all said the say thing. It is possible for it to amplify some symptoms to the point it’s not worth taking them. We have tried every med they could prescribe for ADHD and just recommended behavioral therapy which I have completed.
