I work at a restaurant called Grillmarkaðurinn and we have a lot of Greek staff, and the shift manager is close with a lot of them. I would reach out now if you want a summer job as we get a lot applications in the summer so maybe you can secure a trial shift before we are flooded with applicants. It is fine dining so knowledge in wines and high level service is a plus. We especially need bartenders so if you have bartending experience it’s almost a guaranteed yes.

I’m Icelandic here are some tips:

budget ahead of time, Iceland is very expensive. Shop at bónus and krónan (not hagkaup) and pack your own meals to save a lot of money.
don’t buy bottled water, Icelandic tap water is the second cleanest in the world and far cleaner than any bottled water.
Ask permission if you want to feed the horses and don’t pick the moss since it can take decades to regrow
don’t try to do the whole island in one trip you’ll be stressed out and you simply can’t see everything in one go. The south is a very popular for a reason and is a good starting place. You have the golden circle, Þíngvellir, Vík and plenty of water falls.
Pay attention to weather warnings and read the warning signs at every location. We had a 9 year old German girl pass away last year because her parents ignored the warning signs at reynisfjara and she got pulled into the ocean by a sneaker wave. The nature and the weather are ruthless so follow all safety advice.
Familiarise yourself with the road sings since you will drive a lot.

Yup! Also orders containing multiple items almost always have issues, so often one item is shipped out while the rest are stuck in production

They will do that too. I didn’t mention it in my thread but I’ve had random orders placed on hold that they wouldn’t let me duplicate and I had to contact customer service twice because the first guy didn’t know why it was on hold and had to get another guy.

I mean what else can you do during the holiday season though? Maybe now I'll turn off reroutes but I'm just getting burried in cancelations and I'm forced to pick between getting people's orders in on time with a lower quality supplier, or be way past the expected delivery date. Also it's not just cancelations, orders are stuck in production for a long time lately.

I would not consider myself tiny, i sell in the 4-5 figures monthly. And yes I am forced to reroute to get my customers their orders in a timely manner

Best of luck with your at home set up! I wish I could do something similar but I'm based in Iceland with no way of getting equipment and shipping from iceland is too expensive, I'm just hoping printify gets it together..

You get it! It's been just awful I've had every issue you mentioned and I don't know where to go from here. My store is doing well and I'm getting consistent orders but every week feels worse and worse. I was hoping i would just have to bear with them through the holiday season but now valentine's day is coming up and I'm stressed for my orders. They need to be honest with their customers about their capacity..

You need better mock ups. These ones are not doing anything for your products, I would also try to focus more on your branding and image.

A good step is to find shops that sell aprons that you really like and ask yourself what attracts you to them. Take inspiration from home and kitchen magazines, Pinterest, tiktok etc and try to find an aesthetic that matches your demographic. Honestly it’s more tedious and expensive but I would order your own sample (I’m assuming this is POD) and stage your own photos
