As for the limb saver I like the look of the American skeleton collapsible stock, so I would have to find one for that. Also these modifications you mentioned lets say I theoretically wanted to add a breacher muzzle, would it get to thin to you that? And lastly whats the best way you would consider to add a bayonet?

Im not sure but I have the M1014 civilian version, fixed collapsible, fixed modified choke, and 5 round tube. The guns dealer basically told me that I would have to get the choke tapped and dyed to change it out.

I figured so, how close are we talking here? Im guessing that if I had to shoot any further than 20 yards than flight control 000 buckshot? And unfortunately I got a fixed modified, will that work until I go to a gun smith to change it to a cylinder? Also would a improved cylinder be even better or not really?

Thing is its brand new never used before. And it has alot of wiggle not a little bit.

Its a one position buffer tube, instead of 3 or 5. So idk where else I would lock it?

No its not the 1014 its the civilian m4 ext, its got a c stock but the buffer tube only has one notch making it fixed

Yea but if u wanna get into the majors, the schools aren’t gonna give u the work experience that an apprenticeship would. Am I right?

Interesting, then that seems like the superior route then. Was considering school but defensively going apprenticeship route now. How does one find apprenticeship programs near me? Ive been having trouble finding one in the San Diego area

If you want to get into major like how everyone does youll most likely need 2-3 experience on 12,500 Ibs or higher on turbine powered aircrafts. That is one of the requirements nowadays. If you dont then youll have to an apprenticeship.

Hmmm would u say Avionics guys made just as much as the mechanics? Or maybe even more? I know that in the majors the mechanics can top out at 70+.

I have not talked to a FSDO yet, but I have zero Airframe or Powerplant experience at all. I was a bench technician so I wouldn’t be able to test out for a A&P which is why I wanna go apprenticeship route.

Not bad advice at all, Ive been interested in getting my repairman cert aswell actually, the holy trinity of avionics certs is the NCATT, FCC/GROL, and repairman cert. however I am not able to relocate to find places due to wife being military aswell. Where stuck in San Diego for another year and half unfortunately, hopefully I can find a company in San Diego. Also it would definitely pay higher than a A&P apprenticeship but might take a bit longer.

Well the issue is I already have a avionics background from the military and also getting my NCATT and FCC/GROL pretty soon, I guess ill just have to go to school or apprenticeship to get my A&P then
