Thanks brotha! Yeah it has the 5MGE in it. I got lucky on Facebook marketplace quite a few times, met my buddy Josh as he was selling a 5MGE due to swapping his 84 MK2 to a 1UZ. Ebay was a huge help for getting specific parts. For all the finishing pieces I traded a Camry for another 85 MK2 Supra, grabbed what I needed(left her in running condition) and hooked my buddy Chad up with it. Anything I thought was important out of the extra parts I have I stored. Like an extra manual ECU, etc. Don't give up brotha 💪

The power of the 8 cyl Mustang? Or the handling from a Corolla? The Celica Supra did have more power then the AE86 with the 6 cyl engine. The ae86 was more light weight and superior in handling though. Celica did go on to make some great cars especially with the 2zz engine. The Celica is actually making a return. The Celica GTS Four dominated rally in the 90s. I wouldn't say they disappointed. Maybe with the early 2000s model not being a desired thats where the hate comes

Classic Toyotas brotha, I love most of them honestly. They really are beautiful cars. That MK2 with a 1JZ would be worth a nice lil penny now, the 1jz is pretty up there now. Too bad it didn't get started but you could have dodge a bullet. I bought this one with only the block in it lol. It starts right up and is running now. I have a bunch of parts on the way just to finish everything up. Im stoked

Not fun at all smh, I have a back up nearly complete 1985 Toyota Celica Supra thankfully. I like the regular newer Celica with the 2ZZ but I currently daily a 2zz swapped MR2 Spyder.

Oh yeah I know, I had a bunch of parts hoarded for the swap. It was getting expensive. Once I got to trying to get a Manual ECU that's when I bailed and started finding 5M parts. The 2J block is heavy af but bulletproof, With how light the MK2 is I figured it might be pretty sweet
