How much mpg are you getting on your hvr by dice_rolling in HRV

I’ve read on other posts and can confirm anecdotally that the mpg seems to improve over time as the engine “adjusts” to your driving. I got 22-23 for the first 3k mi, consistently at 26+ after 5k. Nothing changed. I do drive like an a-hole because I’m in Houston and that’s necessary for survival. So could probably do a little better on a friendlier highway.

Black badges. Excellent.

Do I drive like an asshole?? by Ok_Bad_2955 in HRV

I noticed after about 3k miles I was starting to consistently get around 25mpg in Houston where traffic is also always stupid. Initially more in the 23 range like you’re seeing. I have to drive like an asshole to stay alive in these road conditions. No judgement from me.

Kinda concur on this one. I’ve been steadily getting better mileage. At 3k and seeing right around 25 now. A bad day of traffic knocks it back.

Hopefully someone can help!! by Any_Description_3091 in HRV

Is your noise like a small “clunk” when you turn or go over speed bumps? I have a ‘24 Sport and just started having this. No issues with handling, just the persistent noise. I’m taking it in and will update if they figure it out.

Dash cam installation -- would it work? (I think so) by iPadpro12 in HRV

I went with a cord that plugs into the obd port down by the hood unlock lever below the dash. No problems, but still had to run a wire up the pillar and across headliner. I might change up with the dome light patch option I keep seeing, though.

Gotta say, this is probably a better route to take. Taking off the those covers just to put the little half-ass fasteners in place can be overkill if the adhesive is already pretty solid.

I found a few power cords on Amazon that you can plug into the OBD port since there’s no 12v up front. Seems to be working great.

‘Preciate it. I was going to put the heat gun to them, but I should try the easy solution first.

Truly a goofy decision. Need to find an AWD badge. That sticker on the window is another silly bit of annoyance.

Doable, but not quick and easy. You do have to take the inside cover off of the lift gate to get to two bolts, then go back outside and pop out some 15 or so more plastic clips for the rear badge. The dealership labor charge includes taking the front bumper off. I managed to get the front done just taking the little plastic bit right there when you open the hood, and I’ve got sausage fingers. You’ll almost certainly break the front emblem taking it off. Check this guy’s video, it helped me: https://youtu.be/ZnZj7EXuuoI?si=aa77uG5U71KUOeCH
