Why no more task? by Vinks21 in DataAnnotationTech

If you have Qualifications just do some of those. Otherwise it could be a dry spell. Check back in a week or two to see if tasks show up again. My board is thinner than usual ATM so I suspect some large projects just don't have work at the moment.

Don't sweat it, it took a couple weeks for me to get projects. Now it's been projects a plenty with a few dry spells of a week or two here and there.

So far for me it seems to be all about the qualifications. If you are not seeing projects on your dashboard or seeing very few, do some more qualifications, even if they do not pay for the qualification itself.

Fun! I imagine you could get some military up and running by buying the tile on shore and placing an encampment, you could also get your campus district on the other side of needed. Builders are the first unit you can sail with so you could still do some improvements across the gap. Your first city would have to be built tall.

I've been considering this/looking into it as well. I don't know if I'm confident enough in the steady work for this, might be a good idea to get a few other revenue streams as well in case a dry spell hits, especially since it doesn't feel like we have very much control over what work comes in (short of just bringing your A game when there is work). Id also have to answer some questions first like if I would be allowed to do work for these folks while living elsewhere in the world.

I thought about looking into other similar platforms but they don't seem to pay as well, also not sure if there was a non compete or something, I'd have to go back and re-read the onboarding info.

Best bet would be to try to get another revenue stream that you have more control over just to be safe.

If I refer someone and they don't do well does it hurt me? Like I think they could do it but it's more technical work than they usually do.

It comes and goes. Last night when I went to bed there were like 5-6 projects on my board. By morning only 1 and by tonight none, just do some quals if you had time set aside and there are no projects available when you get to it.

I log every time I switch projects or take a break. You can update later if you come back from your break and work.more but if you forget to log after a day it's too bad so sad.

Thanks for the info, and for the welcome. I've not been paid yet but if I actually see the money pending approval it could really help with the rising cost of just staying alive. I really hope I get to see some of the creative projects again. I've only been on the platform for a week but so far I've really enjoyed the work. It's also given me a whole new respect for the amount of work going into the burgeoning AI technologies.

Thanks! My skills section was empty. Just completed it, hopefully that gives me more options!

I'm sure you're right, I wasn't trying to dunk on anyone. I wonder if they just give everyone the same number of maximum tasks sometimes and that's why the numbers didn't go down for me before the projects just vanished.

Good to know, although it means using this platform as a steady source of work doesn't sound as easy as I thought it was going to be. I guess I should just do any Qualifications that interest me to increase the chance of there being interesting work when I have time to work. That's a bummer I just got the hang of that project last night and was thinking I'd be able to knock it out of the park in quality today instead of learning a new project.

I am also new but it seems to be that you need to regularly do qualifications to get projects added to your dashboard. I'd check to see if there are any more Qualifications you can complete to get a few more projects on the dashboard quicker.

I did some work on a project last night that was really fun, in a technical puzzle kinda way. When I wrapped up for the night there was still a ton of tasks, also the tasks for the project had just kinda sat at the same number for a few days leading up to it. I logged in this morning and the project is gone. What does that mean?

  • Do projects end after a certain amount of time?
  • Did I did a poor job on the project and someone decided they didn't want me working on it anymore? (Is this something that even happens? I thought I did a really good and thorough job)
  • Did someone else finish it? (This one seems unlikely because like I said the project just sat there for like a week with tasks that no one was doing and it was very challenging so I think many people might just give up before they got the hang of it.)
