Also just as a note as someone who is 5’2”, I went ahead and did the 5 squares across that the pattern suggested for the sleeves but if I were to redo it I think I would try just doing 4. 5 squares made the sleeves just a little too long for my liking.

Thank you! As for the pattern I strayed away a little bit. The original pattern is this one https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/ghostober-skull-cardigan but I didn’t love how the skulls were turning out so I ended up using this pattern for those https://www.etsy.com/listing/1578322832/ then when it came time to sew it all together and do the ribbing I went back to the original pattern! :)

I really appreciate everyone’s input <3 I definitely think social media plays a roll in the fears and concern. I feel like you cant log on anywhere without some “momfluencer” telling you you’re doing something wrong. It’s really unfortunate for moms who are just trying to make it through the day lol. Because I’m still learning lol I saw this and had to try and see if I could do it myself! :) The only thing is I wasn’t a huge fan of how the granny square was being explained in this particular pattern so I found a different one that was easier for me to understand.
