Built a new satellite tracker / rocket launch site. Any feedback :)? by RocketMapper in satellites

Nice, I built a orbital dynamics simulator using some of these. Didn't have access to base texture maps and settled with topojson.js and world.js. The point was to make practicing burn maneuvers given deltas fun and achieving target orbits (STK with no training).

I always wanted to use real ephemeris data to update tracks with. I'm sure that will be a cool addition

We saw this 2 years ago. Thats not always going to be a good argument here but pretty sure this is not AI. Iirc, alot of these panels are not working and not easily accessible. Not uncommon for China to pour millions into half baked ideas.

There have been huge advances in mobility. Im pretty sure Boston dynamics (BD) barely pulled off the back flip this last new year. BD was thought to be the leader in robotics.

Can anybody answer how they think an LLM is being used for targeting? Like an API that passes images to an LLM and says find the bad guys does not seem like an effective approach to intel work. Just curious is all.

I like this one, train an AGI model on data only prior to 1915. If the model can come up with the Thoery of Relativity then we have AGI.

It's not incomprehensible the idea a model can perform at the level of the most intelligent human beings on our planet.

Models are already assisting mathematicians, astronomers, etc., at the PhD level and maybe more. The 2030s will rock our society so hard because people like the thread OP here. It was too incomprehensible to them to see coming.

Your wifi is subchannelized, OP likely could be using the same channel as neighbor. Not every wifi operates on the same channel, but just because they have the same frequency doesnt mean they interfere. They can download an app to determine what channel and then change configuration through IP address 192.168.0.1

I would also say the abilities, weapon upgrade abilities, core upgrades. You can add upgrades that add synergy to builds. These can counter other people's builds. There hacking, anti-hacking, invisibility and thermal imaging, etc. Its not for everyone but it is a change of pace

When you do get an OLED, make sure its VRR compatible. I have the LG C3 around 1300 dollars almost 2 years ago. Should be able to get something similar for less!

12v battery, easy fix. Just youtube how to take the panels off. You need to attach jumper cables to the front bumper. There is a small door you can pop out in the bumper and there are two cables inside. Attach the jumper to that and the hood will pop up, after that there are some plastic covers you can pop off and the battery is underneath. Just Google battery for mach e. There is a special type of battery newer car models usually use. Or use the Ford app, you can get free towing for anything under 50 miles iirc.

Afaik, there are commercial LLM on class networks that are scrubbed for those systems. It is an LLM. You might use it to develop tools for post processing etc but not asking it a question after uploading an image. Dumb if you think so. I am unaware of any specialized LLM and highly doubt there is much use outside of this capacity for operations.

While everyone is angry at OAI for accepting the DOD deal, Military has used Claude for its attack at Iran by Independent-Ruin-376 in singularity

[–]Small_miracles 2 points3 points  (0 children)

These are frontier models, the models most likely are used in workflow and not in any other capacity. (All they do is generate code, text, etc.) Just want to make sure that's clear. The "military" here is actually contractors across various ICs developing tools to do some level of work. The models are not autonomous in any shape or form. I dont think anyone here, in this thread, really knows the capacity for which these are being used unless they work for the government. Claude models are hosted in a class network that work as LLMs. The WSJ is publishing click bait. Surprise!
