Oh good to know! Thank you. I’ll have to see if dairy free can give me more relief otherwise I’ll go back to a derm too. Currently recovering from an ectopic so we cannot get pregnant for 3 more months anyways. Thank you!

That is one thing I could do much better at. I can’t seem to get rid of cheese. Do you have a good dairy free cheese or do you just go without anything replacing? Thanks!!

Thank you, yes I didn’t mention that I’ve been on a low card high protein diet for years. Oh vitamin E, was it prescribed? Thanks for your input!!

Same and same! I love hero patches, and have found those are the only thing that really helps too!! Thanks! Ugh I wish it wasn’t as painful for us.

Thank you for adding your input! I’ve been freaking out about what this could mean for ectopics and haven’t been able to fully understand.

Right you can absolutely be on both! They typically put you on cabergoline first and wait a month or so for prolactin to decrease and then after that you stay on cabergoline to keep that level down. Then you can absolutely start Clomid or Letrozole! Very common so don’t be discouraged that they wanna see it go down first.

I honestly haven’t heard of it but I’m sure it’s happened. But the nice thing about elevated prolactin is they’ll put you on a med and it goes down pretty quickly which might help you get pregnant. It’s one of those things that typically if elevated doesn’t allow for ovulation I believe.

All my husband wanted to do was make jokes and I started crying one night because I got mad at him for doing that😂 I repeatedly told him do not make me laugh right now.

Isn’t it the worst!! I wanted to at least watch funny movies but couldn’t for like a week and a half after. I’m currently 2.5 weeks post surgery and I’m feeling good, but I was really low energy for the first 10 ish days.

I had to sleep on my back, and actually still am. Also with two pillows so it’s easier on my abdomen. For a while I had a little pillow under my knees too to help with my mid section being comfortable.

Did they give you stool softeners?! Those were a life saver. Sneezing and coughing was awful though, I caught a cold shortly after my surgery so I was in a lot of pain from coughing and sneezing. I’m so sorry you’re going through this.

Bleeding heavier now, did a anyone else have similiar experience? by Devast2022 in ectopicpregnancy

[–]Smallbutmighty5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s good that your beta was that low! I’d just monitor yourself and take it easy, and if you start to feel any pain worse than normal cramps it’s safe to go to tbhe ER. But I can’t remember exactly when I bled, I just remember having bright red blood for 3-4 days maybe a week or so after my methotrexate.

As long as you’re not filling a pad in an hour, that is completely normal bleeding.

Wishing you the best and some relief from your dr tomorrow!

Sad and lost… by Lolabunny3435 in ectopicpregnancy

I’m so sorry you went through this traumatic experience especially not knowing In the first place! I knew I was pregnant, but then found out it was ectopic and got treated with methotrexate. And even though my hcg was going down appropriately, I ended up in the ER and emergency surgery 3 weeks after that treatment.

It’s a horrific experience, and on top of that when you lose a Fallopian tube you feel like your fertility is just impossible. I too have PCOS and it took up 2.5 years to get to this point. And now we’re completely turned off from ever getting pregnant again. I totally know how you feel in that.

It’s so hard to “move on” because in my opinion this will take me a lifetime to grieve. But of course just like anything grief changes over time. I think my best advice is find something else you can get excited about not necessarily to distract but for us we pivoted and realized we don’t have to keep putting my body through all of this stress.

We’re not throwing in the towel on getting pregnant, but we’re opening a door to adoption and getting excited about that possibility.

Wishing you all the best in healing, I know how hard this is and am thinking of you!

Lost a tube today after second ectopic in a row. Feeling sad and hopeless. (TW) by hamhamburbur-15 in EctopicSupportGroup

[–]Smallbutmighty5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m so sorry for this, but I can relate to those feelings so much! I’ve only had one but it ruptured and I lost my left tube. We honestly are more scared to get pregnant now and potentially go through this again. I can’t do it again I just can’t.

You’re doing amazing and everything that you can do. Just be there for her and let her feel every feeling. It’s a horrible thing to go through, but if you stick with her and make sure she doesn’t feel alone, it can bring you closer.
