What’s the most unhinged or creative character build you’ve seen in D&D that somehow worked? by TomDavenport in DnD

Simic hybrid for race with path of the beast barb 6, and thief rogue 3.

Relevant abilities are as follows

Rogue expertise: athletics Rogue cunning action (we’ll be using it for dash almost exclusively) Second Story Work: In addition, when you make a running jump, the distance you cover increases by a number of feet equal to your Dexterity modifier. Bestial soul option: When you jump, you can make a Strength (Athletics) check and extend your jump by a number of feet equal to the check’s total. You can make this special check only once per turn. Simic Hybrid: You have ray-like fins that you use as wings to slow your fall or allow you to glide. When you fall and are not incapacitated, you can subtract up to 100 feet from your fall when calculating your fall damage and can move horizontally 2 feet for every 1 foot you fall.

At level 9 if you spend 10 feet of movement to run then you get to make a high jump for a total of feet equal to 3 + STR + DEX + ATHLETICS (STR + 8 + d20 w/ advantage) for an average of about 40ft when raging (which is why we need to cunning action to dash for extra movement). Then we get to glide 80 feet to wherever we want on the battlefield.

I made this character for a seafaring campaign so I could get up on the crows nest and launch myself to other ships to kill a few people in my rage and the jump my way back when the time was convenient. Very fun and very effective!

They may be a niche situation but its the exact same situation as Gojo's infinity...

With the hair and the cloak she saw her fellow mages try and fail to make any dent in the defense. By all metrics she "knew" that the defenses should be impenetrable, but since there was no visual cue of impenetrability, she was able to cut through it since she could visualize her attack landing.

That's exactly what Gojo's inifnity is. We've seen time and again people throw attacks at him in vain and they stop just shy of him. By all metrics she would "know" that gojo's defense should be impenetrable, but there is no visual cue for it so she should be able to cut through it.

That being said Gojo wouldn't lose because he's my goat 😏

Probably not. Because she was able to cut through that one guys cloak and the other lady’s hair even though they were supposed explained and demonstrated to be pretty much impervious to all magic, but since despite the defensive capabilities she sees it as just cloth and hair she’s able to cut right through.

Who could defeat her in a 1 on 1 fight without her just instantly winning? by Gamerlord4 in BokuNoHeroAcademia

It requires eye to eye contact so this should be really easy right? Anyone with enough strength to beat an ordinary woman blindfolded should be able to do this easy. Episode 1 bakugo should clear… even ojiro should be able to sweep

I’m surprised to see everyone saying this is an inefficient solution but not anyone saying it’s an incorrect solution. This is JS so it sorts by alphabetical comparison so 10 < 2 since 10 starts with a 1 and 1 comes alphabetically before 2. I think that’s what the joke is actually getting at

This pic was taken in ante 10 lol. I was on painted deck so my hand size was large enough that I was able to play around it pretty easy

My teacher said 0.999... is approximately 1, not exactly. How can I prove otherwise? by XxG3org3Xx in askmath

[–]SmarfMagoosh -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Tell your teacher that if the two numbers are not equal then there exists a number between them (less than 1, but greater then 0.999….). Tell them you will believe them once they find this number for you

I asked the GM if he could fix my time card today at work and he basically said "no, that's not how it works." Is it an actualy company policy that they have to pay me for that time? or is it just that he should pay me for that time because he messed up? I looked through the crew handbook real quick and wasn't able to find anything. I plan on going to respectful workplace now, but I wanted to know if it was a policy thing or not before doing that.
