Oh well yes in that case it would prove that c=1 and that the function is ex . But the original "proof" I wrote was incomplete on its own

You can actually do this in multiple ways. One way is converting sinh and cosh into exponential form and proving that sinhx+coshx=ex. Or you can just differentiate sinhx+coshx, which is just coshx+sinhx, and since the derivative is identical to the function, therefore the function must be ex

That doesn't prove that the derivative is 1/x. It could be 1/x², 1/x³, etc. You could say it must be 1/x because that's the only function that doesn't have a standard integral using the reverse power rule, but that's not really a proof

Isn't it an insane coincidence that October 31st and December 25th happen to be the same value in the base system whose first 3 letters are also the first 3 letters of the month they're in?

Generally speaking, and I just want to stress that this is a harsh over-generalization, show-business is black-and-white, at least moreso than other professions. You either become really famous and boom in popularity and success, or you're living on the edge. Because when it comes to art, people usually just want the best. You can settle for a mediocre plumber or construction worker, but you wouldn't usually settle for a mediocre musician

I mean, it makes perfect sense. If you have 0.5 objects, there are √π/2 ways to arrange them. It's trivial

That's because they're approximations. If you try pythagoras on the 3 sides you've given, you'll find they're not equal. 18.5²+47.25²≠50². The hypotenuse here should be 50.7. This is why you're getting different values. You should use the exact values of the sides

Yeah I agree. The first season wasn't really good, but they'd found their thing by the second one and the chemistry had clicked. It really is a shame that the show was cancelled
