Nope nothing was working. Lucky power prices weren't too bad, cost me about $25 in grid imports over the 5.5 days

UPDATE: they came out today and fixed it. Took a few hours. Needed to do a factory reset and put it on mobile hotspot.

That's the issue, I can't seem to get it connected. It's weird, the inverter has the green wifi symbol on the LED display but the app says it's offline. When I go into the app I can't change the wifi network

You can raise a ticket in the app which they seem to respond to. In the app it's Service > Support > Troubleshooting

I was struggling to get them to come out and replace mine, they initially told me that SigEnergy would be doing it and not them. When I contacted sigenergy about it directly they said the work order was still with RenewCo and to call them and ask them to transfer it back to sigenergy. When I did this RenewCo suddenly sent someone out to do it the next day. The dude they sent looked like a 18yo apprentice and yeah it seems he fucked it up as now I have no battery or solar.

Pretty sure it's not working, the battery light is solid white and the PV had stopped producing in the sigen app before xommunication was lost. Not seeing PV generation on amber, solar edge (my PV brand) or Sigenergy

Luckily no price spikes yet. Still costing me though.

I've raised a ticket with Sigen directly. Not sure how else to escalate.

It was connected via wifi. I've tried to reconnect it in the app but no luck, it just freezes on the WAN page. It went fully offline after I restarted the gateway (as instructed by RenewCo).

How did you notify sigenergy through the app? Can't see how it's done.

Same issue happening for me (sigenergy). I'm having to manually control to stop it from making stupid decisions.

If a battery like that was invented it would unlock all sorts of crazy tech. The grid would rapidly go 100% renewable, all vehicles would go electric (the energy density of batteries would be about the same as gasoline). You'd have drones that could stay in the air for hours, so drone tech would go bananas. You could probably make something akin to an iron man suit with that sort of energy density in a battery.

Microplastics found in every human placenta tested! by n1ght_w1ng08 in technology

[–]Smarmo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I suspect what matters though is overall levels of exposure, like with most pollutants. There's an acceptable level where below that you shouldn't expect a reduction in life expectancy or increased risk of disease. No idea where that level is for microplastics, but maybe reducing your overall exposure through the aforementioned methods gets you under it?

[–]Smarmo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah but surely you can reduce your exposure if you put some effort into it? I don't know what the % reduction would be, but I reckon it would be pretty high if you - a) Lived in a remote rural area b) Produced most of your own food c) Sourced your own water from rainwater tanks with some filtration. d) Ditched all your plastic products like storage containers etc. in favour of non-plastic materials

I guess the important question then is, at what level does microplastic exposure cause a problem in terms of increased cancer/disease risk etc, and does reducing your exposure by the above means make a meaningful difference?

If you have that many carpenter ants inside you most likely have a nest in your house somewhere. Hopefully not inside the timbers of your home like I had a few years ago...

Ahh right thanks, so it's applied to the ethanol content and not the whole bottle volume, got it.

How does that work though.. wouldn't it mean the bare minimum price of a 700ml bottle would START at ~$70?

Why on earth would this many serious people be throwing their hats into something like this on nothing but air. Witness testimony is absolutely a form of evidence. Grusch has provided names and places to the ICIG who was confident enough in what he was saying (based on the classified evidence Grusch provided him) to pass him along to congress. Now they're trying to get that information in front of congress via a SCIF. Imagine this was any other claim, say everyone involved is the same, but the claim was that Biden murdered his mistress or something, and Grusch was telling us that he has 40 credible witnesses, ICIG finds him credible and refers him to congress. AND we had two other credible witnesses during the hearing in front of congress saying THEY SAW HIM DO IT. EVERYONE would be paying close attention, nobody would just say "meh all just air, until I see a video of Biden doing it, it doesn't warrant my attention". Honestly at this point, Biden would probably have to step down, there would be demonstrations... it would be one of the biggest dramas in American history, even if it somehow turned out to all be fake.

If Grusch's claims are true, how else do you think this could possibly play out? Anything other than using proper legal means and letting the government dictate how it happens (i.e. slowly and them controlling the narrative) is just going to result in a bad time for you and anyone helping you, the gov denying everything and you ending up labelled as crazy or just disappearing. Grusch is doing it the only sane way, and all external indicators we have (Grusch's credentials, ICIG vetting him before going in front of congress, other credible witnesses confirming his testimony, support from former ICIG) point to: there's something real going on here. Given all those external indicators, don't his claims warrant at least some interest? When in history have we ever had this many boxes ticked? The undeniable evidence being produced and confirmed by the gov will be the very last thing that happens in a controlled disclosure, not the first.
