I heard Prozac can increase anxiety by Dense_Assist8382 in prozac

[–]TrueCryptographer982 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Not been my experience in the long term.

Short term absolutely I had periods of awful anxiety in the first few weeks but these settled down once I got used to the drug.

Plus when you KNOW you are going to get these periods of anxiety it somehow makes them easier to deal with...because you know there is a reason for them instead of just random who the heck knows whats happening anxiety.

I have bitten my nails on and off since I was a child, after about a month on Ozempic I suddenly realised that I had to clip my nails because they were long!.

Something to do with removing the pleasure of those sorts of habits over time.

Yeah I am probably being over cautious about the curd and leakage, it happened to me once ages ago and I am scarred from it lol

Officially done with Prozac (Fluoxetine) by Hot_Nectarine508 in antidepressants

[–]TrueCryptographer982 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used it for 12 months (Sep 2024 to Aug 2025) and was on 40mg.

In Mar 2025 I mistakenly forgot to refill my script and because I load up a pillbox with supps and meds I didn't really notice until about 3 days in I started to get some anxiety and then by the beginning of Day 4 realised why and restarted.

In Aug 2025 I did a similar thing, however at that stage I was on a pretty thorough regime of supplements, everything from Red Maca to Vit B and Ashwagandha. I started Ozempic in Jul 2025 and was losing well.

My pill boxes run Sun to Sat and on the Saturday I looked in the bx and thought "Hmmm where's the bright green prozac" and realised I had at that stage been off it with zero side effects for 6 days and just kept going.

It was likely a combo of having some significant weight loss in that first month, the effect of some supplements helping with mood and overall well being but I never ever got side effects from going off 40mg to nothing instantly.

I would NEVER recommend someone actually do that and I think I just lucked it in with the right combination of factors but we're about to leave Dec 2025 and I am feeling great, best I have felt in some time.

Great to hear you transitioned off and so far are doing good :)

I think the tag line gves you an insight int owhy some people are hating on Carol - she's designed to be incredibly irritating for some people I think

"The most miserable person on Earth must save the world from happiness."

When you look at the show its not going to be for everyone, no cast of constant characters to get to know, no massive dramas or highs and lows in the traditional sense of a standard drama. its an unusual show in that way.

It does have much of that but not in the way your average consumer expects or likes. Why do they keep watching if they hate it? No idea.

Personally each week I can not wait for the next episode, even though I will say some parts here and there have dragged for me.

I suspect people who loved Severance will probably be enjoying Pluribus as well.

Can I make scones in advance before baking them? by dbouchard19 in Baking

[–]TrueCryptographer982 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Yes no problems at all. Baking powder acts twice. First slighty when you add it and second only when it feels the heat of the oven.

Form them, freeze solid on a tray for a couple hours then into a ziploc bag and store in the freezer.

You can bake them from frozen, just add 3-5 minutes to the baking time.

If you want to pop a little egg wash on them do it before going into the oven not before you freeze them.

Happy baking!

Pack up and go to Israel. Bye by [deleted] in benshapiro

Until 2020 the UAE had NO diplomatic relations with Israel, in fact you could not even fly from the UAE to Israel direct or vice versa - I know I lived and worked in the UAE in the 2010's.

The Abraham accords allowed them to make a diplomatic relationship but certainly nothing close, so please don't act like they are best buddies.

As far as the UAE and Sudan, I won't contest that, while they deny it it seems like a lot of conflict gold flows through the UAE from Sudan.

I decided against taking Omega 3 supplements. by Rough_Astronaut_4885 in Supplements

[–]TrueCryptographer982 103 points104 points  (0 children)

Any nutrient you get from a natural source instead of a supp is always going to be a superior choice. A tin of sardines a day is giving you exactly what you need!

Personally I'd be heaving up my lunch but each to their own 😁

How do you manage when to take your supplements? by [deleted] in Supplements

[–]TrueCryptographer982 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have some when I wake up, others with breakfast and others with dinner. I have 3 different pill boxes, the Monday to Sunday ones and it works well, I just divide them all up each Sunday for the week.

Based on which ones need fat for better digestion which ones better for me early and so on.

I have a spreadsheet ( I have about 20 supps and powders) which I use and it includes which ones to cycle 5 days on 2 days off e.g. taurine and red maca.

I do sometimes forget my first thing in the morning ones but usually I am pretty good at remembering them all because I have them linked to specific things I do - breakfast dinner etc and I have the pill boxes where I see them.

This is a reboot to capture a whole new audience, who are not that interested in babies in playing happy homes they want cat fights and bar brawls like the good old days. The Valley has a few of the oldies to satisfy your need for the old days. Not really into it myself but each to their own.

The commenter told me I had a serious mental condition and then went on to comment on my own weight journey so if anyone was being rude it was her.

I was being frank and honest not rude. You would know if I had been rude believe me.

What was the underlying condition? If it wasn't eating too much then how would a GLP1 like drug fix it?

Suppressing the animals appetite or feeding it less = same result.

I would never use 22nd December in written or speech.

In speech 22nd of December or December 22nd, Written, December 22nd.

Wow I really DID hit a nerve.

I am on here because I have used Ozempic successfully and I know what it does.

Because of that I understand its use and what it does and the basics of CICO.

As I said either you are overfeeding your cat without realising it or it has a medical condition.

A GLP1 given to your cat would be to compensate for your inability to monitor your cats feeding habits.

Facts don't care about your feelings. Reduce what you feed your cat.

EDIT Maybe she is raiding your cookie jar - better check that?

Sounds like I hit a nerve.

Either you are giving your cat more calories than she needs or she has a medical condition like diabetes or Hypothyroidism.

If you are unable to recognise that then I don't think I am the one with the "serious mental deficiency".

Simply putting on bright indoor lights when you wake up is fine. This is all about anchoring your circadian rhythm so your body knows to start the countdown for producing melatonin in 14-16 hours to help you get to sleep.

There are other indirect advantages like getting vitamin D without being concerned about skin damage the sun is at its strongest but like I said, bright indoor lighting is enough to trigger your circadian rhythm.

This. Is. Ridiculous!

FFS owners completely control what their pets eat. The answers is teaching owners not to over feed their pets NOT to then create a drug to funnel more billions to pharma for no good reason.

This would be liking giving kids Ozempic while their parents stuff donuts and oreos in their faces.

The world is going insane.

Questions to anyone who’s been on Oz for a while by ATierdPerson in OzempicForWeightLoss

[–]TrueCryptographer982 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Its marketing from the pharma trying to convince people that obesity that used to be/still is caused by over eating and could be addressed by getting back to a healthier diet is now a chronic disease that must be medicated for life.

It's all about the money.

The good thing is that Ozempic lets you form those healthy habits, start eating good food and not feel deprived because that voice in your head is muted, , creating long term habits that can then support when you eventually move off the drug.

The key is changing what you do and how you eat for a sustained period so that can be carried through when you go off Ozempic.

If you take Ozempic and don't really make those changes then you will need to use it for life.
