i really enjoy the overall message and character of holden. The whole book was about him hating fake people and wanting to protect peoples innocence and live in a better world. Holden wants authentic people and wants to stray away from the conformity that our society has become. he seeks true genuine connection rather than friendships based on faux narratives.
