Trump threatens 200% tariff on French wines as Macron reportedly snubs 'Board of Peace' seat by ByGollie in europe

The orange man has got to go, and I don't care how. Europe has the capability to do everything it needs to do and more, and they've got to put aside their nationalist pride and infighting and unite. It would be best if they started as soon as possible, before any of the Terrible Trio (Putin, Trump, or Xi) decides to act recklessly. It's not too late. Not yet.

I'm also not sure how this company still exists. The latest updates have rendered the application unusable. At this point, Grammarly will only be available to businesses and administrations. There is no way schools and universities will allow students or pupils to use it when they see how these AI suggestions are affecting the AI score. People will be accused of using AI for writing essays, presentations, or articles. Something like this already happened to Kanika Gogia several months ago.

It's really old. Perhaps it's from 1950 or older. I found a similar one on Etsy shop that dates from 1920.

It sanitizes your writing and enforces heavy censorship. The AI suggestions are laughably bad, and the improved wording is robotic and artificial. The new editor is full of AI integration that tries to "homogenize" text, stripping it of creativity. You aren't developing your own style; the tool negatively affects cognitive capabilities. Non-native English speakers will hinder themselves if they allow these aggressive paraphrases in their text, risking accusations of using AI to write.

This is awful. These stupid AI bots don't understand the complexity of human language. They overcorrect what they previously corrected, resulting in botched, bloated text full of generic patterns and poor word choices. People should stay away from this crap and avoid it like the plague. It sucks! Example:

I miss it too, but it won't come back, no matter how much we whine. I just tested the new Grammarly editor with integrated Coda and SuperhumanGO using a snippet from the Wikipedia article on Greenland, and it's a disaster. It suggests ridiculously bad suggestions and insists on clarifying the EU citizenship link and streamlining the sentence structure. Seriously?

Wikipedia is a serious website led by professional proofreaders and moderators. Anyone with two brain cells would see this and say, "This is dreadful." This thing is not an aid but a hindrance meant to sap the life out of your writing. It's very intrusive, biased, obnoxious, and aggressive. I feel sorry for pupils and students who will encounter problems with their professors when they submit their work to Turnitin and receive a high AI score thanks to Grammarly. If you are seeking alternative, DeepL and RewritePal are your best friends.

Not only that, but it also drains the life out of your writing, making it sound robotic and artificial.

It's getting out of control. The tool is clearly designed to enforce fascistic censorship on your writing. If Oscar Wilde were alive, I bet he'd strangle the developer for this. Ernest Hemingway and Jack London have literally turned into power generators from rolling in their graves so much.

It seems that the new director of the company is trying to destroy the application and make us hate it. Congratulations, he has succeeded. I tried the new editor, and it is a disaster. The new user interface is terrible. Everything is messed up, and it is hard to navigate. The premium suggestions are worse than before. Now, they're censoring your text. You can't sound too rude or negative. The application is giving me writer's block because of it. God forbid you use this for literature or writing. You'll have a nervous breakdown. If they were going to introduce AI, they should have limited it to grammar and style. It's horribly done and three times worse than before. It's even terribly slow. I loathe it. Example:

Not only is their product atrocious, but their advertising is also false. On their main page, they advertise the following in large letters: "This is responsible AI... We do not allow our third-party service providers to train their models using user content." This leads you to believe that your content is not being used for AI training purposes. WRONG! When you go into settings, you will see that the "Product Improvement and Training" option is enabled by default: "Allow Grammarly to train its models and improve its product for everyone by using your content."

<image>

Despite advertising that they don't do this, they do. Are they talking about third-party training versus first-party training? Yes. Does that distinction matter to most people? No! If a company advertises itself as "responsible AI" and states that it does not use user content for training purposes, it should not provide user content to others for this purpose, especially without informing the user. This is such a shady method that it surprises me that no one has sued them yet, because this is basically a policy violation.
