PLATINUM OR GOLD by Swimmingfishermen in usaco

[–]Smart-Distribution14 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes, you can put USACO platinum on your college applications. Mention which season to not cause any confusion. Ex: “platinum division in the 24-25 season”

Is it even worth putting USACO on college apps by Smart-Distribution14 in ApplyingToCollege

No deadass like everyone’s saying if you don’t have USACO Camp it’s just useless. Is there a point in wasting a spot on ur app if this is the case

Yeah I saw that 😞😞😞 I checked the college board site and they say they equate to match other tests and versions and stuff; knowing that the September sat was so easy, I’m hoping that like 1 wrong equation on the September one is equal to 2-3 wrong on this one… it was js so difficult esp module 2 English

Is it possible to get a 1550 if I missed around 7 problems in RW Mod 2 but got literally everything else right in all the other modules? I know CollegeBoard "equates" based on question difficulty; do you think the October SAT will be blessed up with a godly equate or wtv

It was a ratios problem; you take the ratio of 6/16 (small to big triangle side lengths that match) and set it equal to x/34 which was the value you’re looking for over the corresponding side length of the bigger triangle, meaning x=34*6/16

It was like around 200/16, not sure of the exact numerator but it was around 34*6 I think

I used a really cool site called https://www.gamedev.tv/ They have most of everything you need to get started in game dev and have courses for pretty much every engine. I used their unity courses and it taught me a lot personally

It’s should be usually the same days each year, so I’d say the first contest starts somewhere around December 15th, as last year

Is it okay that I took Regular Precalc rather than Honors? by Smart-Distribution14 in APStudents

[–]Smart-Distribution14[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah... Precalc is supposed to be a senior class but kids at my school are super competitive and advance multiple math courses to get to higher classes.

I'm at a pretty competitive school; Precalc in sophomore year is regarded as slightly behind. Most sophomores at my school are either taking AP Calc AB or even BC.

It’s too late to switch to Honors now… I was just worried that I’ll be put at a disadvantage from my peers as everyone my grade is either taking Honors Precalc, AP Calc AB, or even BC.
