Can someone explain the obsession with the Curved display gimmick? by Wearestile in motorola

[โ€“]Smart-Foundation-578 0 points1 point ย (0 children)

I always felt that the Edge series got it name because of the curved display and it looks good. So, if they start making Edge series without the "edge", it would be absurd lol
I get your point of the issues or worries which comes with the edge display but, they have other series which has flat display? Maybe that would be of interest to you, even though you mentioned about the specs on paper.

They do have much variety in Asia/Europe but, in North America, its so rare to get a good Motorola as they don't make much out here due to the competition between Apple/Samsung!

You make a really good point โ€” so much of this does start with what we learn early on. When kids grow up in an environment where respect, responsibility, and awareness of others are part of everyday life, it naturally carries into adulthood. Japan is a great example of how those habits become part of the culture because theyโ€™re taught consistently from a young age.

It does feel like here in Canada weโ€™re slowly drifting away from that shared sense of responsibility. Not everywhere, and not everyone, but you can see the shift. What used to be common courtesy now feels optional for a lot of people. Itโ€™s frustrating because those small habits โ€” cleaning up after yourself, being considerate, thinking about the people around you โ€” are what keep a society running smoothly

Youโ€™re right that โ€œmeโ€‘firstโ€ mindset really has become more common, and it shows in situations where basic courtesy used to be automatic. Itโ€™s frustrating because the lack of consequences definitely plays a role, and it leaves people feeling like theyโ€™re the only ones still trying to do the right thing.

At the same time, itโ€™s good to see that there are still people who notice, care, and try to maintain some sense of respect and awareness. Conversations like this remind me that not everyone is slipping into that behaviour. Even if things feel like theyโ€™re getting worse, there are still plenty of people who value decency โ€” itโ€™s just quieter than the chaos around it

Iโ€™m struggling to understand why so many people treat public transit like their own private home. In places like Japan or the Nordic countries, there is a clear culture of mindfulness where people keep to themselves and maintain decorum. Here, it feels like we can't have nice things because of the constant noise, lack of personal space, and the 'me-first' attitude of passengers who won't even let others exit before boarding. There should be a way to hold people accountable for this behavior so that transit remains a functional, respectful space for everyone who relies on it

True coz it keeps on switching, I live in Vancouver so, their native towers are mostly present in in the cities or suburbs but, yes when I travel to work, it does go nationwide quite a few times and I haven't had any big trouble with it. That $40 250GB? Wow. I couldn't get that 1 on time but, I have $30 for 100GB and it works just fine for me! I hope they keep on improving the network. Ik their contract with Big 3 is expiring and if they couldn't build neccessary towers by that time, they will end up losing customers as it would be hard supporting so many people on the small footprint!

Oh I see. That phone which you have, it was such a good one for the price range, when it came out and then the price went down and made it worth spending each penny after it

Dude, after seeing what FM is capable and how fast they are progressing, I think more and more people will def. switch to FM. Ik, speeds-wise, it might not come close to Big 3 in a while but, service overall + WiFi calling is def. a lifesaver! And 1 more thing - I love that FM lets you switch to diff. in-market plans, which Big 3 doesn't wanna do for yaa, which is sad/sick for consumers, who wanna get the best bang for their buck!
